It’s crazy how good Najee and Jaylen Warren can be when properly utilized.
When you have a qb that can throw!!! Opens up the run!!!
When the defense had to even somewhat respect the passing game, it opens everything up
Needed a quarterback that wasn't afraid to throw the Deep ball
I loved Najee in college, but as a pro there are still a lot of questions🤔
Except Rajeev is still not that good when properly utilized, he knows Warren is better and that has made him run harder recently but Warren is still way better and it ovious
This is the most legit the steelers offense has looked since 2017. Mason's deep ball has opened up the rest of the offense so much

Najee is a quality player. He performed incredibly, and the fact that he sacrificed his free touchdown in the last 50 seconds to guarantee the win on time is smart football. Would they PROBABLY have won with another touchdown? Sure. But keeping the ball and draining the clock made it a guarantee. That’s what you want to see in a player.
Yes, smart play , but some fans wanted him to get traded.
Terrific and 100% unselfish play. You may see that in HS or college, but rarely in the pros. 👍👍

I had a privilege of taking my parents to this game. My parents have been life long Steelers fans but never went to any games because they live in Portland. Thank you Steelers for making this an unforgettable experience for my mom and dad.

This was my first Steeler game as well. My wife and I enjoyed it for sure. Definitely looked like a Steeler game with the amount of terrible towels I seen being waved in the stands. Now our next bucket list item is to go to our first Steelers home game🤙🏽

Imagine if our defense wasn’t so riddled with injuries and if mason would’ve been starting since pickett got hurt. Mitch will be lucky to be a backup in the xfl
if the team had the spirit and made the plays they are now mitch would have done fine. He was qb'ing a dead team. Props to Mason for being solid but his accuracy leaves a little to be desired -- he was finding the open man and getting the ball his way though.

After Rudolph's performance a few years ago, I was very skeptical about him starting. But with Mitch dropping the ball, I wanted to see what he could do. And so far, he's blown me away.

Rudolph's stats in 2019 were much better than Pickett's stats through 20+ starts. Pickett has done nothing but prove that he is mediocre, Rudolph was and still is a better NFL QB.

Rudolph looks great! The Steelers finally have an offense. I think he’s definitely earned the starting job. At least give him a chance and see where it goes. This is the first time the Steelers have done anything on offense in years
You need to give kenny time to grow its his second year on a rebuilding team . He wont learn from the bench. Mason had his chances in the past to be starter after ben. He has 2 good games and now hes ready ? Nah.

It will push him to be better. But at this point Rudolph deserves at least a chance and we’ll see where that goes

Props to Mason Rudolph! His success is a testament to being ready when your opportunity comes. He operates the offense, protects the football, and gets the ball his his playmaker hands.
Reminds me so much of Scott Mitchell. Same height, same good looks, same situation. Mitchell started the last 3 games of the season and lit it up for the Dolphins with Marino injured.

Rudolph always did look good. Accurate and strong arm. There are a lot of us in Pgh. that saw that. Everyone except Tomlin, that is.

Mason Rudolph has looked better passing the football around in the pocket. Najee Harris has been getting the running game going between the tackles, and George Pickens is getting more touches which is huge for his psyche
It is because he can actually throw deep and make defense respect that. Then, the shallow stuff and run game are open because of that. Kenny and Mitch basically cannot throw deep and defense just crowded the shallow area and load the box, thus the drive stalls.
He did look good again but najee just balled out. We better see him on angry runs tomorrow on good morning football

I knew that Geno Smith has been playing well since last season, but this is the first time that I really got to see him play in Seattle, and I was very impressed . His pocket awareness and movement was great. TJ Watt would have had 3 or 4 sacks against most QBs.
But the real story of this game is the Steelers offense. The same unit that struggled for most of the last two seasons finally had their O-line gel over the last few games. Add that to Mason Rudolph playing efficient, turnover free football, and you have a dangerous team. If I was a top AFC team, I’d be praying that the colts or Texans got into the playoffs, cuz I’d want no part of this surging Steelers team.
My Steelers looked very good today….especially on offense! Too bad we couldn’t have played like this since the beginning of the season. We definitely would have secured a playoff spot already. But still have a small chance to make the playoffs. Go Steelers!!

So the standard of the last decade is 1 playoff win? Once tomlin builds a team and wins there will be no question . So far he has not been able to do that… going .500/600 every year and winning 1 playoff game in over a decade now is not special. Most coaches are fired for that.

Then, the Dolphins would have to beat the Bills for the AFC East title. Gotta hope that the Titans beat the Jaguars. If Jacksonville loses to Houston, the winner of the Titans-Colts game would clinch the AFC South. If these scenarios happen, the AFC Wild-Card seeding be 5) Cleveland Browns, 6) Pittsburgh Steelers, and 7) Buffalo Bills.

Consecutive 9-8 seasons without a playoff appearance just isn’t successful enough even if technically they quality as winning seasons. Especially for this franchise that has now gone 15 years without a Super Bowl win

harris just getting down and taking the win in the end was a great team move. Warren always a team guy and pickens tackling on that near interception, this team has grown a lot since Mason stepped in.
Life long steeler fan here. My thoughts on Rudolph are that I like him. When he was a rookie backing up for Big Ben he had big shoes to fill. It put pressure on him, and his results were average. Now fast forward a couple years he's gained a little bit of experience and he's backing up a QB that he may be better than. He looks great and I think this is his time. He's not making those little errors that he used to. I hope the steelers keep him even when Pickett is healthy. How could you bench him after these 2 games? Keep Kenny as a backup for next season and give Rudolph a shot. Maybe if things change around Kenny can have a bounce back down the road.
Your post needs to be on Tomlins desk in the morning because that is the honest truth. Kenny could get a chance down the road but we might actually something special here with Mason who got a proper chance and he has capitalized.
EXACTLY!! The offense has been looking like an NFL offense that wants to win. This is starting to be a unit that has some cohesion. Kenny has not been balling out this much and even when he did ball out he looked fairly average. In Mason’s one start, I speak of last week, he looked so much better than Kenny

Don't forget that we fired our OC in November, so they were all still playing with Pickett as the starter, and there was no perception that Rudolph would do any better. New OCs trust Rudolph more with the ball.
We might not be able to afford Mason next year.

I tried to hold back judgment on Mason,I kept expecting him to play like he usually does,considering he lost his job to Duck Hodges once upon a time,but he looked solid today.
He was concussed. I don't know how people still don't get that your brain doesn't heal in 2-3 weeks from being knocked unconscious.

It's time I think for Pete to call it a career. The always comPete mantra has grown stale and which never applied to the coaching staff anyway as we're witnessing with our D.C., whatshisface. This defense should have improved this season with many players coming into their 2nd and 3rd seasons but insteadits gotten worse giving up another 450 something yards today, 202 on the ground.
But the season is shaking out like I thought it would, predicting they wouldn't win as many as last year 9-8, sitting at 8-8 and playing a Cardinals team that's been playing very well lately even whoopin up on the Eagles today in philly.

Mason Rudolph’s success is a tribute to Steelers mismanagement. It took them two years &a forced hand to finally play their best quarterback. Tomlin should be embarrassed.
As a Mike Tomlin fan, I totally agree with you.
Tomlin was against him from the start. It either is due to the Myles Garrett issue or maybe because Roethlisberger was against him. Or maybe it was both?
He wanted to remain as the standard… .500/.600 and no playoffs. Typical tomlin to lose to the two worst teams in the nfl and play out of the playoffs.

Highly impressive Steelers win. Pushed the Seahawks around, and that big brand can still get into the playoffs. Also gets the highly entertaining LA Rams into the post season. Good 3.5 hours for the league.
