And it happened exactly as Samuel predicted. The next few Old Testament books give us the gory details.

Because, since it's a federal case, Trump as president can dismiss it, and has suggested he will, along with pardoning all Jan6 rioters. This goes for the federal documents case being repeatedly delayed in Florida -- if the judge can keep delaying, those charges can be dismissed by Trump as well if the trial has not concluded before Inauguration in January, should he be elected.
THE ONLY WAY TRUMP WILL BE TRIED FOR JAN6 AND DOCUMENTS -- IS IF BIDEN DEFEATS HIM IN THE ELECTION.

You would think that Trump would want a speedy trial to prove his innocence. Doing so before the election would increase his chances of winning.

It's truly disheartening to witness the USA heading in such a disastrous direction for its own people. It's a tragic situation.
As a neighbor to the USA, I am also disturbed, although this crisis did not happen all of a sudden.But before Trump, one had three major world powers, of which two were led by corrupt autocrats. The evil of Putin's regime was still not fully manifest, but we knew with certainty that China was up to no good.
The USA stood firm in its commitment to freedom, even through the Trump administration, because the professional civil service, along with some of his chosen staff, pushed back when he went seriously off course.
But two opportunities to get rid of him by impeachment were squandered due to misplaced loyalty.
Sometimes, when not enough energy is directed against na wrong, the wrong gets the better of one.
I am reminded of a king in one of the Old Testament accounts, whi was instructed by a prophet of God to strike the ground with a weapon. Because tge king did nit strike enough times, the prophet prophesied that he wold fail to eliminate the military threat which faced him. Again Roe was overturned because abortion is not spoke to in the Constitution (that is all).
