I remember the terrifying stories my grandfather told me about his time served in the military, the moment he still has the most PTSD about was charging up the beaches of Normandy, he lost his weapon and couldn't find it, he realized he only had 5 supply drops left, so he decided to test his luck, the horror in his eyes when he told me he got three duplicate grips In the same supply drop was insurpacible, he lost his arm do to an enemy German soldier getting lucky and finding a fully automatic 50. Cal MMG in a legendary supply drop, what a terrible time is must have been.
I enjoyed getting content in this game. The collections made a nice accessible way to play for in game credits to unlock weapons. They have multiple contracts weekly to unlock weapons for free, and you have great chances of actually getting weapons in supply drops even when you earn them for free.
yeah tbh i preferred the supply drop system cause nowadays in Cold War for example the only way to get cool cosmetics is to purchase them, however back in bo3 or this game you could grind out supply drops in order to have a chance of earning these cool cosmetics for free. I personally liked and miss the grind and satisfaction of earning supply drops too.
"Yo I read that you don't want to grind the game for 6 hours to unlock a new weapon! So we're just going to make it where you only have to grind 3 hours at your real job to get it! We saved you 3 hours, thank us."
You could argue that when supply drops were in the game, everyone could always earn and get something. Nowadays, the only way to get cosmetics and stuff is to spend money.
If supply drops ever come back I'd want the ww2 system where you can get a whole collection for weapons, I'd much rather prefer them to only have cosmetics and the weapons stay free
@@kellomies7897 The WWII system was better than what we have now. I barely opened supply drops, I just grinded contracts and challenges to earn armoury credits and unlocked most things I wanted. I can’t do that now because now we have to spend real money. It’s ass.
@Dog Sweat if people wouldn’t be dumb it would help, I have never had a problem with supply drops when it came to WW2 because it felt decently balanced and made it a way to still unlock dlc weapons without going exclusively through supply drops.
I got up to like level 800 in this game and it still took me forever to get the Snake 2 PPSH variant. Literally popped thousands and thousands of supply drops before I got it.
I played for about I think 3 maybe 4 months before they did the overhaul to divisions and I had that PPSH variant along with 2 other ones and a sniper variant I was just lucky 😭😭
The system they had in cod ww2 was the best, you could roll for random stuff that made you feel special for having something everyone else didn’t have, plus you could earn everything if you spent the time in the game with the currency. Battle pass systems are SO lame you get the same stuff as everyone else plus you know exactly what you’re getting and have to buy it every season. I saved more money on supply drops bc I didn’t buy any but earned everything in the game.
Depends on what perspectives, I’ve never spend a penny on supply drops, I loved it personally, made me want to play even more so I can go off on people who has those weapons, where the last 2 call of duty I don’t even have 20 hours of gameplay for both combined, mainly because you have to pay for basically 90% of what they offer. Warzone Included
I honestly wish they would add supply drops back instead, there's something fun about that hunt for a certain item. Also it makes it so much more simple instead of there being sooo many different varieties and attachments for everything. Makes it more simple
I miss the hq so much it was such a good addition that bug were u could do the sit emote and sit slide round the whole hq literally one of the best things to be added to cod in the last 5/6 years lol
Supply drops are way better than todays system. As a person who doesn’t have money to waste on cosmetics being able to earn them for FREE was way better than being forced to buy cosmetics in the new games.
@@JoshiVlogsOfficial content creators just dont get it cause they get paid to play the damn game and upload it. they never put themselves it others shoes to see that not everybody is in the same situation as them. but what can you do.
As a person who likes free content plz bring supply drops back. It's more money for them with the current store system rn because casuals have no way to earn cool cosmetics or anything at all. They should keep the store, add the supply drops back, and add back in the MWR WW2 system where u can use salvage or whatever secondary currency to buy other cosmetics/skins. Similar to apex basically, even tho that game has supply drops it also has a secondary currency(legend tokens) which u get by playing the game and you can buy your own cool skins/camos too
Honestly I’ll say it. I liked the variants in IW. Way better rates than the bs in BO3 and AW, and you got the dlc weapons for free. And the stuff you got was mostly interesting and unique, and there were plenty of variants worth using over the legendary stuff.
Its actually so sad that the same people who made BO1,2and 3. Are the same people who made cold war. Treyarch went from making the best game. To making the best zombies....
Supply drops should ABSOLUTELY come back, because even though you were probably not going to get something you always had a chance, and they can be obtained from just playing the game vs the new system where you have to pay obscene amounts of money and cant get any of it for free.
Supply drops are miles better than what we have now. You can literally unlock everything in ww2 for free easily just by playing the game and doing contracts. If you want anything even remotely good in Cold War or mw, you have no choice but to pay

As a guy, who never spent any money on CoD, the idea of opening (or saving) earned supply drops every once in a while is much more appealing to me than of everything being locked behind a massive paywall. The only thing that frustrates me about this system to this day is that DLC weapons were in them too. I feel like Jev completely forgot how the supply drop system worked in MWR and WW2. It was an awesome system and we would be blessed to get it back.
