Dan Harmon records a video introduction for Rob Schrab

- It was Rob Schrab's birthday. Rob asked Dan to record a video to show before Rob gives a talk to some art students. Dan really wanted to do a good job, and wasn't afraid to keep trying until he got it right.

the fact that he stops the rap to do a verbal version, fucks it up and immediately goes back to rapping has me in tears
Its one of my favorite parts, I love jeffs laughs too. My absolute favorite part was the handle of the mop rhyme with the shame on his face and acceptance of messing up, and spencer cracking up in the background!
"I'm a little sober" I'm totally gonna use that haha
I sincerely hope they showed this whole thing at the event.
I sorta hope he just out of context used "-so here he comes with his special pants!, Rob Schrab!"
Jeff's laughter is the best part of this.
The editing makes this look like there are breaks in between, but what you're seeing pretty much happened in real time as you see it here.
I come here when I'm sad or mad. Lifts everything away.
This is how all eulogies should be.
Es lo que hay Best comment.
As a listener i didnt knew he was getting on and off camera hahaha that is great
matias Neptuniano they say it in the podcast that he's leaving the stage everytime
rob schrab is 57,000 years old
th-thats something youve never been told
but whats his age though?
we cannot stop trying to make schrabing a thing
Yupp it's canon now
I've been relistening to all Harmontown podcasts on my commutes to work and I just hit this one last night. I was so hoping there was video online for it...it's such an amazing moment.
I'm so happy that this was the episode I decided to check this podcast out on. 10/10
Hes coming out like bukake LMAO
Dan gives me hope.
I love that he keeps saying he's various things' rage. And it never really makes sense but he keeps going back to it.
I listened this as a podcast at first and was greatly entertained. Now that I'm seeing the video with the audio, it's impressive that it's even more enjoyable ha ha
I was just listening to this in podcast form, thinking how great it would be cut up into a montage with cut scenes. This is the greatest!!
I needed this today. Hilarious.
11:47 top 3 stutter rages of all time?
Matt Roberts please someone make this compilation
Have you ever had a dream that, that, um, that you had, uh, that you had to, you could, you do, you wit, you wa, you could do so, you do you could, you want, you wanted him to do you so much you could do anything?
Had some good laughs listening to this on my walk the other day. Even funnier on film
i've been listening to every single episode of harmontown back to back, and its taken a few weeks. i'm at ep 241 now. Its a trip to see everything change over so many years and to see how dan changes. you probably don't notice the change in dan because it took 241 weeks (give or take) for any change to happen.
I just finished a run through myself it took me like 2 months
He's a bit more mature with how he approaches relationships. not to be a dick, but his relationship with Cody is about 1000 times more healthy than his one with Erin. I also think he hates himself a bit less, and he has been actively applying things he learns in therapy when it comes to dealing with other people.
He does completely and absolutely lose his mind when Trump got elected though. Listening to the episodes before the election were painful. Dan was absolutely terrified of what he perceived trump to be, and kept consoling himself with "trump can't win... trump can't win..." during the podcasts. He has calmed down in the later episodes, but he doesn't even begin to understand why or how trump got elected and just tries to avoid the topic for the most part.
I don't know how much of it is growth. Like, learning to take compliments and dealing with suits was maturing in real time, but a lot is just adapting and reacting to changes in his life. In a week you can go from listening to him mad that he got fired from maybe his only chance to make it big, dealing with it, making himself fail to get a new chance, getting his job back (with all the hubris that meant) and maybe up to a divorce if you speed it up a bit.
As a listener it's really hard to keep track of how much time passes. You get tiny bits of real life filtered through alcohol, making him want to puke his feelings as much as desperately entertain anyone to get some validation. You usually end up in that situation with someone you know, getting only the weird partial retelling leaves so many gaps to fill that people keep getting mad because they were sure they knew how Dan REALLY though/behaved/felt.
Harmontown should be recommended to every writer, 10% to learn from Dan and 90% to experience real life Raymond Carver. Add a 10% plus if you're into anyone in the main trio.
I've been doing this too! It's really cool because you really feel like you get to know these guys intimately
It's been a while since I heard the old episodes. Does it seem like he's getting more depressed? Lately it seems like he says some really dark stuff. But maybe he was always saying things like that.
Every time I listen to this, which is often, I expect him to hit the ‘graphic designing’ rhyme and my heart breaks a little each time.
6:14 - that's my favourite type of 'Jeff laugh'.
12:47 might beat it though
12:30
Take 23 - Nails it.
Like bukkake.
yo! ah... yo! ahh... yo! Ah-AHHH
Jeff in the background laughing is the best part
Holy shit Dan I wish he would have played all of these as his intro. It was a great time though. He told all about yours and his journey to LA. Y'all are inspiring me like crazy.
Which one did he use?
the very last one
Eh. We as fans of Harmontown would be way into it but don’t forget a good majority of the people watching have no idea who this sweaty fat stuttery guy is, and after like 5 minutes it would get old. Maybe a supercut of all the funniest ones.
im weeping. this is so funny
That was amazing
I remember listening to this podcast at night and dying of laughter after take #12 and #27. This is the best shit ever.
I literally spit my drink out all over my keyboard. Worth it.
5:30-5:40 is adorable lmao

He's even more lovable now
handle of a map?! oh shit xD
Where can I find all of the episodes to this?
Kurisu Usagi You can pay for a subscription to get the video episodes.
or listen for free on his website itunes etc etc.
Harmontown dot com, the video episodes require a subscription (that's totally worth it, btw), but the audio is free. Updates every monday.
I agree, the video subscription is cheap, and so worth it.
I miss harmontown
Hi, what's the track at the end of the video?
"Losing My Mind" by Titanic Sinclair
Thanks!
Isn't Titanic Sinclair the guy who does the Poppy videos?
Yep!
Preferably salt lake city so I can commute :)
Whats the name of the guy he’s introducing?
ANyone know if Schrabb used it?
Nope
I'm in Milwaukee and bummed I couldn't make it to Schrab's lecture the other night. Would've loved to this bizarre intro out of context.
Does this stress anyone else out? xD idk why lol
So good to see the podcast steering away from depressing monologues on society and back to rapping about fucking moms again 10/10 A+
Russell Hixson love it
I know I got like 6 episodes saved because it can get depressing at times thankfully Rob never takes things too serious
He started another podcast where he talks about that stuff, instead of letting it take over harmontown. it's called ''whiting wongs''
Arin Hanson been pretty quiet since this dropped...
Harmon NEEDS to do something with Stanhope.
Doesn't matter what.
If schrab uses this he has 20 mins of the talk on his hat
5:06
Slavoj Zizeks gangsta littlebrother
is that cody fucking losing it in the background?
probably frothy
Way more rhymes with Milwaukee than Racine...ey.
"Hello.... Are you an artist? Or is your son or daughter one? Or is your child non-gender binary?"
It's not like passion rhymes with anything relevant, like assassin...
If he didn't use the bukkake one, that's a waste.
15:33
is rock n morty good?
u tee urself up pretty well sometimes but u question urself and think too much cuz ur so dam smart
🍄🐑👻🙈📹
Dan should rap about every Harmontown member
