I think it is a privilege to live in a democracy. I am a citizen of two countries and I vote in every election in both. If one doesn't vote, one doesn't have any right to complain about government policies. I just can't imagine anyone voting for a candidate who doesn't repect democracy and wants to end it.
Every election is a new beginning, if that is what the people want. And there is only one way to find out how millions of people feel. You have to ask them and be prepared to deal constructively with their answer. But if you do not ask and they cannot answer freely, the future is seen with fear, not hope. I stand with hope. Take a look at some of the other articles at the link I share in the description. I trust President-elect Mulino will recognize this and work with it successfully. ¡Viva Panamá!
Thank you so much! I wish I saw more of this very pragmatic activity going on in other nations, but I am fortunate to be here to see it work! It won't be easy, but the beginning of the major change is always that way.
Well thanks for the update date. You are looking very well after all you been through. First graduation to all the candidates both winners and losers in the election! It’s nice it’s over and now the real job is ahead, making Panama a better country for the hard working class of people of Panama. I get lots of questions about Panama here in USA and l say you have to live there to understand Panama. Yes l looking forward to coming back soon but so much to do here Missouri. Let’s hope the big attention goes to fixing pot holes in the streets, doing something about the burning landfills and trash pick up! Good to see young people get in charge of things and just do the right things for Panama.
Ed, they are smart, focused, organized, and dedicated to change. They are also the largest political group in the National Assembly. They have clout and they know it.
Thank you for this informative report Bob! I was looking forward to your video on this topic, and it didn't disappoint. After reading a few 'news' articles on the election, I was seeking more information and a bit of context. I appreciate you & all you do.
