When spotlock comes out I’m ordering myself one asap, I don’t want a front trolling they are too heavy for spotlock. The pac motor is the perfect weight and size and if spotlock is integrated into the pacmotor this will be a game changer.
Sweet! Very nice work Matt. I’m sure all your existing customers appreciate your dedication to improving an already excellent product. Pacmotor is without a doubt one of the most innovative kayak motors out there. Can’t wait for the upgrade to be available for current owners. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot! I also cant wait, I am looking forward to getting the designs sent to manufacturing and then we will have a process to upgrade for all customers.
Seriously excited by the GPS enhancements! Will look forward to fuller rollout in due course. Ability to set waypoints, change them “mid journey”, set speeds, set “loitering at waypoint” etc all valuable enhancements as this comes online - as well as set “avoid” areas and the like. I presume you can “override” when required? Do you have a “virtual remote” for phones yet?
Super cool! Been following the development phase videos of this and it's exciting to see the progress you've been making. Couple of things.. Will spot-locking be possible? Would also be really good if speed could be set for autopilot. 4mph is pretty good, but not a great trolling speed. Would be great to be able to adjust down to 0.2mph or so, for example. Lastly, some will have issues with Internet signal on their phone in remote areas. I noticed you're using the browser. May be a good idea to have a separate app with maps downloaded.
Hey Mike, really good suggestions! Yes, spot lock in the app will be one of the main features. Also, being able to set the speed for the course should be easy to add and would help a lot. You are correct, you will be able to download an app a head of time with maps included. For the demo I quickly made a web app just out prove out the tech.
Hi Matt Great video of upcoming upgrades. I have a 120 pound kayak fully loaded and I use it mostly on the Delaware River. I have no problem going up river. My son also loves his pac motor. Please let me know when the upgrades are available also the larger battery. Best of luck.
Hey Angel! Thanks so much! I will let you know when the upgrades are available, and the higher-thrust battery packs will be out soon. I would love to see any pictures or videos. Do you mind sharing on PacMotor's Facebook reviews? We don't have that many, but it would really help. facebook.com/PacMotorllc/reviews
Hey Denis, yes once we move this design to manufacturing and we figure out cost. I will be offering an upgrade to all current PacMotors as a DYI or send your unit to us for a quick and easy upgrade.
Nice job Matt! I preordered both the PacMotor and the lithium battery. One of the two items has been delivered. Still waiting for the battery. How would it be possible to upgrade to the GPS navigation? When do you expect the lithium battery to be delivered?
Hey Donald, thank you! good news is one of the pre-order batches recently arrived and yours is going out right away. Please lookout for tracking via email! Yes, the GPS once completed we will have process to upgrade all units!
HI Matt, testing out the product for an RO camera platform to track/ID river dolphin populations on the St. Lucie in Stuart. I was in the process of building a remote control app when I stumbled across this vid. Looks like you're already miles ahead of me. Any idea of how soon I can download and test your app on an unmanned vessel?
Hey Matt I’ll ask the same question, will I be able to upgrade my pac motor? If not, I’d like more information how to get in line to purchase the a new pac motor with the gps. Great job with that! Thanks
Hi Matt, I just reviewed your video and I would be interested in revising my battery order. If the 18 volt lithium battery is available I wouldl rather have you sell me the larger battery. It is my understanding that the smaller lithium battery may have arrived, however the kayak season is over here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Also I would be interested in the update remote control that is much more waterproof. Please let me know if this request can be accomplished.
New to the pacmotor family. Super stoked. This feature will be epic!!! A spot lock would be a game changer for those of us fishing.
Thank you! I can't wait for it as well! Shooting for summer timeline
Great work! I have 2 PacMotor systems now. Can’t wait for the upgrade, looks amazing! 👍🏻🤩
Thanks so much for the support! You guys are the best, and thanks to you, we are able to make the next evolution of trolling motors!

Wow this is great Matt. Glad I became one of the family. CANT WAIT TILL THAT GPS is all done.

Man I can’t wait for this. Hopefully you can get the solar set up going as well. Look into using thin flexible panels if you haven’t already
Yes I agree!
So sick man great job
Thanks for the support!

What about those who already have a Pacmotor and want that upgrade?
Hey Denis, yes once we move this design to manufacturing and we figure out cost. I will be offering an upgrade to all current PacMotors as a DYI or send your unit to us for a quick and easy upgrade.
@@PacMotor Thanks Matt
Could you set it to go to a point slowly so you could fish while working down a long wide section of river or stream?
Yes! that is in the plans. Like you suggested this way you can move from point to point at a slow speed giving you more fishing time or just relaxing.

Oh that sound very interesting. Can you tell more about it? What do you mean umanned vessel to track population?
I haven't heard of these how much do they weigh? Could the be placed on a scaden lightning strike pontoon/floattube?
@@FTOTF1 yes I could! PacMotor only weights about 10 pounds
