It doesn’t work on small tractor engines, I have one in Georgia myself. What helps is wrapping the fuel lines in heat shield from the tank to the carb. You can also wrap the bottom of the tank depending on where it’s at with the heat shield to help stop the heat sink

That is some fertile looking ground. Down here in TN we have mostly red clay.

Known to be some of the best in the country up there. We're 3 hours south in Southern Illinois. We have ribbons and spots of that black stuff here but nothing like that.

I’m retired AF, never stationed at Chanute AFB but knew it well from friends that were. So it was returned to farmland? I’ve never heard of the close pin on the fuel line trick-can you explain it? Thanks.

@corydriver7634 Three or four of the large hangars are still there as well as the runways and admin buildings. Believe the bulk of the base is owned by the city of Rantoul now. I do believe one of the large hangars was sold or leased to a private firm for development. The organizers approached the city around 05 about doing this type of show every other year. The farm field demonstrations and diplays are mostly east of runway 36/18 in grassy areas between and around the runways and taxiways. The first time I went in 07 the airport was still active and one runway was off limits. There was a guy running around on a golf cart chasing people off the active runway all day and planes actually landed during the show. Hasn't been like that since. I think now the airport is closed either permanently or just during show week.

@@corydriver7634 guys put clothes pins on their fuel lines. They claim it keeps the gas from vaporizing in the fuel lines and carburetor. Not much of a believer myself. Some guys swear by it.

So can someone tell me when they put two tractors together. How do both of them work together while only controlling one. Is it thru hydraulics? How do they use both at once? It's interesting. I'd like to understand it

It's all done with linkages in most cases. It's hard to see in the videos here. If you watch the video of the double John Deere G setup closely you can see the driver step on a pedal to engage the clutch on the back tractor.
