Will AI take my job away?
Throughout the world, the dependence on robots, algorithms, and automatization
is becoming more prominent and with no turning back in sight.
But what means that for the future of work and employment?
There is a fear, shared by many, that jobs will disappear and that slowly
automated processes will take over and do most of the work for us.
But is that true?
Or is it just another modern mythos, another fear on the list?
In this documentary, we take over the task and start a conversation with experts
on A.I., employment, human resources, and education to guide us in the confusing and controversial theme of the implication of those technologies in our daily jobs.
Some of the areas that we will go through in this first episode of the series are:
application of A.I. and algorithms in our daily job, which works are more at risk of disappearing,
a short history of the displacement of workers by technology, the effect of technological
unemployment on the rise of extreme-right groups, Universal Basic Income and
the necessity of starting to re-think how we reward the contribution to society of every
citizen.
