I just really appreciate everything you guys do. Your quality builds, your Faith, your commitment to family. I have seen your dad in the pages of ND for many years, and its awesome to see him still turning on winlights. As a sidenote, im a Registered Nurse who works in the cath lab of a very busy specialty cardiac hospital. We do pacemakers every day. I wish I knew as much about chassis fab as I do hearts. LOL
You guys are top notch. The entire family and team just seem like amazing people. Glad your father is doing better! He is a badass! Love the videos and everything you all do for the racing community! Keep on keepin on!
My Father is 64 and still racing, I thought that was awesome, glad to hear your father is doing better with his pacemaker, that would have absolutely been a question my dad asked also! Lol, man at the finish line that motor was Turing over 9000 rpm screaming, at the finish line it hit the highside,, I was geeking, lol, awesome man, happy for you and your family
I know I’m 2 years late to this video but this is so f”ing awesome!!!!! You can see the enjoyment just flowing out of Ronnie’s whole being, how much he enjoys the sport and how much he enjoys doing it with all of you, n the fact yall documented it is amazing!!!!!!! I love love love this!!!!
This was great and your Dad is cool and I know who he is. I was there with some friends of my Dad's running stock and super stock. Dad was a NHRA D3 stock racer who got tossed from time to time for pushing the rules on his combination and weight. My dad passed in 2020 at 75 of a heart attack (have video about him on my channel) and I just want to say I'm glad you caught that pacemaker situation when you did. And you'll always have this video to look back on. P.S. I am building a turbo LS G-body and saw a track video elsewhere about one that one of your guys did for drag n drive. It was a Midwest Drags video maybe. Did you ever make a video on that car for this channel?
Really great to see you and the crew behind your dad 120%, him getting interviewed was hilarious!!! Another race can be done and won, but glad it turned out for the best and hope he has real quick recovery and back in the race-car soon!!
Really glad your dad is okay and getting well🙏🏻 The best drag racing channel on UA-cam. Really shows love the for people and the team. Keep up the great work and hope more motivation videos are on the way!!
Love all your videos, but THIS ONE hits the favorite mark! Love that you have the whole crew out. Great way to continue an excellence in company culture to remind the crew where it started.
That’s amazing! Even if the car was tech’d correctly and your dad added the 25 lbs. it still sounds like he would’ve won based on the gapping he did in the finals. It’d be cool to come watch the fall classic/grudge race. Keep us posted so we can all come and support your pops! Your faith and gratitude shines in everything you do! You’re inspiring a lot of people through every one of these videos, your message is one of a pure heart driven by your faith. Keep up all the good works my brother in Christ!
I saw you guys at the nationals wish I would of knew your story before! This is an awesome family experience! Thank you for sharing I will see you next year!
This is by far the best damn video on UA-cam! Love the Coors lite in the hands of an OG racer! The bs about the rules suck. This is a legend for sure. Prayers sent for the ole (not old) man! Good to hear he is doing better. Again, best UA-cam video!
Definitely my kind of video. Your Dad is the freaking man. Almost 80 and cutting down that tree. Glad to see he will be able to be strapped in. Cause I know you guys will be back.
Wish I could have seen ur dad running his old copo at thornhill back when he had it that with the old clocks that they had my grandparents raced down there the last few year with the clocks
Congratulations Ronnie T you still got it I think it’s cool you got the old man some new kicks and Wally right on love y’all Holy crap I hadn’t seen the end of the video I’m glad he’s OK damn how quick shit changes get well soon Ronnie T
Glad he’s doing good. I had to get a pacemaker/defibrillator (my bomb) a few years ago and I been forgetting to ask my doctor about seatbelts. Now I know lol
That was great with your Dad's shoes and you said you should race them in the finals forshoes , without missing a beat your dad what size you wear! Looks like good times man. Edit then I watched till the end, sux he got disqualified, but a heck of a blessing tho...
Can you ask your dad if he knows Ken Shaver from defiance Ohio? He ran stock and super stock for 30 years .55 Chevy a Lemans last car was a 79 Trans Am in Super Stock. He did win Indy with a stock eliminator 87 cutlass . He had a transmission shop called Defiance Transmission
@@jakehoward2210 I Remember Ken telling me about someone running the car for awhile before buying it. But couldn't remember the name. Unfortunately Ken had a stroke. He and his family were friends of mine I learned alot from him and Billy.
Your dad is my hero he's 20 years my senior and I wish I was going as strong as he is. Even with the heart condition he was out there kicking ass. Kinda a bullshit call about the final tech screwed up when they inspected his car before the race but at the end of the day he still the winner in my book.
I hope you write a book one day But make sure you include bill Hoskinson's in the book , you all are both incredible storytellers and your outlook on things Not only in this video but in everything you do is amazing , you seem like a pretty cool cat
My dad started racing NHRA Nats back in the 70’s as well he ran super stock and pro *( I dunno if pro is still a class or not we had to quit in 92 due to my dad being paralyzed by MS )* both me and my dad have resting heart rates that are 30-40bpm the first time I went to the doc I go to now the first time they took my pulse the nurse ran out of the room and went and got the doc my HR was 34bpm O2 was 95% I’m from Dead Sea level *( grew up and lived at sea level for 33 years my dad was in the Navy )* now I live at 4200ft she asked if that was normal and for me it is when I sleep I go into the high to mid 20’s my dad as well and he’s about to be 70 his is a bit higher than mine I’m 40 so I got a bit of youth on him and back in the day super stock wasn’t a heads up class it was an index class just like bracket racing you had to dial in and not break out, and you gotta scrutinize those tech loop holes you were trying to use a little more back in my day if tech thought something was funny there would disassemble your motor or even your whole car and not put it back together lol
I feel like he is winning everytime he goes down the track at this point. He is a true warrior. Sucks they took his Wally. I bet another competitor pointed that out. I bet you anything.
Everything happens for a reason. I just don’t think I could accept a win against an almost 80 year old legend on that small of a technicality, especially knowing it was an honest mistake. He would have still beat them regardless of the front clip and 25#. He’s still the winner in our book. They better look out next time, especially with them new shoes and a pacemaker. Continue to get well Ronnie and God Bless you.
Man i hope i can live to be 79, win a race with duct taped shoes, get DQd and not allowed to run in another class. Thats an awesome story for you guys to be able to be able to tell when you are in your 50s lol
^this entire reason is the reason why people do not run NHRA anymore if you tech someone and say they are good you cannot go back and then say your illegal when they said you guys where good
It's just suspect as to why they would scrutinize you any more than they had at Tech already . Was it not the same guys Or were these a New group of "special tech people" ?

Raced back in the late seventies at Norwalk Ohio before Summit and Dragway 42. I remember the Cobra venom Mustang winning a lot of Super Stock races
Its awesome that racing runs so deep in your family, and to see you out there crewing for you 79 year old dad!
It sure is!

Very awesome brother 👏congrats . God bless your whole family and your DAD is the coolest and pretty funny also .

Big thumbs up to your dad. My wife thinks I'm too old to race (64). Quick recovery.

Very awesome story guys.
The combinations for the classes is crazy.
No wonder they missed the one notation that it had to be manual.
I wonder how they caught it?

DUUUUUDE!! You have the coolest dad EVER!! He drives a fucking 3rd Gen!!
Awesome video 😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
Does your dad run on all motor or does he use nitrous or turbos or what he's pretty darn quick good job buddy
The old 305 is all motor.
