Oh wow, you did such a good job with this. I really like how you approached this reno from Dina's aesthetic not necessarily what you wanted but keeping it in her character. A good balance of still being the Goth manor but with Dina's sensibilities. I also like that you didn't add any TVs or stereos. That is such a consistent thing with the Goth manors across all games (even Sims 4 keeps the tradition) of not having any electronics (maybe that's why Malcolm owns an electronic supercenter to contrast with Goth's old money and his new money world views). The computers are just too useful not to have (especially hacked computers) so I totally get that you had to do that. I also love the portraits and the fact that Dina stashed Bella's photos in the attic, lol that's so Dina. I didn't know there was a garage sale mod. I'm curious to see how that works. Overall this was such a great build!

For the "garage sale" I was more thinking we'd just start a home business for like one day, buy a cash register and sell what we had, and then get rid of the home business haha. So no mod, just me using OFB in a sneaky way!
@@TeaAddict Oh that makes sense. I really like the idea of tying gameplay to more of the build/buy mode stuff. Same thing with when you changed the color of the doors and said they got painted rather than getting new ones, as that is more realistic.
I can definitely see how it'd take you HOURS to do this. It looks SO GOOD! You can tell Dina had some influence in the decor. LOL I especially love the wallpaper you used in the bedrooms. Alexander's room is probably my favorite. The entire downstairs is amazing! Those dark floorings make the place look so nice!

i know this is an old video but i just came across it and WOW i am such a fan of this renovation! in the last year or two i've gotten really into renovating the maxis houses (they can really be so depressing 😭) and i'm soooo into what you've done here! there are some things i had NO idea existed out there that i need to add to my game immediately, like the rotational tiles and the built in wardrobe - i've seen stuff like those wardrobes in other people's games and they always looked intimidating to me but you've convinced me! i also like that you brightened things up a slight degree while also making the manor more stately and imposing. it's still very ~gothic~ but more modern and lived in! also, do you make the goth family photos as cc objects yourself? i've really been meaning to learn how to do that but i'm soooo intimidated by that sort of thing i've been putting it off lol, despite the fact that i have all these portraits i've taken of my sims ready to be made into deco objects. anyway, this is so fantastic!!! thanks for sharing with the rest of us 😘😘

I've seen your whole series (might have been rewatching it the other day actually lol) and I looove your lot makeovers and decorating so much! One of my favourites from your series is actually Brandi's trailer, I think the kitchen looks so good. But yes! The "AnoeskaB object rotator" tile is SUCH a cool object and I've had a few people say they haven't come across it before - I can highly recommend! I think I got the builtins from BeautifulNerdKitty (don't quote me) - I know that a few of the Sims 4 builtins have been converted though so you should be able to find some on Google. And yes I made the family portraits myself! It's actually so simple to do, I use SimPE and have been meaning to make a tutorial on it. If you'd be keen to see one I can prioritise that for next week 😊 I have also got the ones I made uploaded to my SimFileShare if you'd like any of them, I made some for the Goths, the Pleasants, the Burbs, the Dreamers and the Landgraabs. @@TeaAddict i am so flattered you enjoy my series 😭😭 at some point i realized if i actually made quality sets i would enjoy filming scenes in them more lmao, but because of the realistic/cluttered style most of the lots are probably unplayable now!! well, at least chock full of OMSPs and invisible lights i can no longer find 😓 designing brandi's was so much fun though! i really tried to go for a kitschy american thing in the kitchen, i really love doing cluttered builds as opposed to the modern ones. i would be thrilled to some time see a tutorial on the family portraits with simPE, whenever you happen to have time! i know from your recent post that you're pregnant (soooo exciting, congratulations!!) and have a lot on your plate right now, but whenever you do choose to make a tutorial for that i'll be the first one on the scene ;) i will and same to you about any WCIFs from my series, i'd be happy to help! in the meantime take it easy on yourself and i hope you're able to have a relaxing weekend!! 💖💖

So those aren't mods, they are actually in-game cheats ☺️ For the grid placement, it is "boolProp quarterTilePlacementEnabled true" and then press "Control + F" to toggle. For the rotation, it is "boolProp Allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true". Super handy cheats!!

As far as I know, yes. If you have clean lot installer use that, and then maybe run hoodchecker... It may delete the graves but not sure!
