I like how apples excuse for not including AirPods and the new charging Brick is to cut down the size of the box which uses less raw materials and helps the environment but really it’s just a market strategy so you have to buy the $69 charging brick (because any old brick will not work) and $159 for AirPods. If you think about it tho the boxes for the charging port and AirPods are actually more raw materials being used vs just putting them in the iPhone box.

They sell an adapter to make your usb c, lightning or micro usb like mag safe. They have usb c on the newer mac books, maybe you can get one of those adapters and make more devices including your macbook have magsafe :) Search on amazon "magnetic charging cable".

Even though it is for ecology, it's not. It's marketing. The more IPhones are made, the more battery's they need. Only the lithium harvesting makes a huge. IPhones don't need new proccesors every new generation of phones. The production of 1 iPhone makes more impact than the production of 1 power adapter. And the first time Apple used this type of design is the iPhone 4/4s to 5/5s and SE (1st gen)

No company would fork over millions of dollars in a lawsuit if they could prove they aren’t slowing down phones. They literally forced old generations to be completely discontinued with iOS 13 update. Any phone iPhone 6 and under are unusable basically.
