Thank you for showing the easy way to replace the AF. It did help me a lot. I have a question, though, regarding the gray pleated filters visible behind the orange one (around 1:55 time mark.) Do they also need to be replaced and how?
Nope, no filter to replace on the other side for this engine, unless you mean the one inside the air box behind the air filter that does not need replacing, it's part of the airbox and stay clean at all times.
I only had to unscrew the 3 torques on the filter box and unclip the air intake ( just had to move the weather stripping for the third bolt near the cabin)
Its a built in non replaceable filter that's built in on to the airbox, it stays clean all the time since it's located on the back of the air filter, im not sure what the purpose of it is but there is probably more to it.
I am not saying this is hard, but if this is easy then I don’t know how to call airfilter replacement on Maserati. It takes seconds. I find Benz cars extremely stupid designed.
You saved me 200 bucks at the Mercedes dealership thank you so much
Ridiculous how much they charge for this stuff, so when you know you need REAL work to be done you're overpaying by 200% for it.
Dealer wanted $225 to replace this. Thank you! I used an 8mm socket, which fit fine.
Bravoooo. You have a voice made for UA-cam. This is your hiking homie.
Great job! It was easy to understand and very well explained. Thank you

Thank you, great video for the V6 3.5L…boy a E11 socket is hard to find - waiting for an amazon delivery to do the install.

Bravo! It’s hiking time! Love your UA-cam page!
Thanks! Made it simple for me.
Now this is how you make a good service “How To”
Good video1 JUST HAD TO ASK ABOUT THE FILTER ON THE OTHER SIDE WHAT IS THAT FOR? AND DOES THAT NEED REPLACING ALSO?

Factory installed and not removable or required to be changed apparently.
