I dub this match the battle of Rampage Wrestling’s antiheroes. There was a time in the past when Alton Black and Ryder Cage were not Rampage Wrestling’s favorite wrestlers to deal with. Hopefully without taking too much time and space, I like to give a quick synopsis of Alton Black and Ryder Cage’s run in Rampage Wrestling.
Alton Black, the mastermind and creator behind Chaos Inc, has spent years trying to gain control Rampage Wrestling. Chaos Inc was a constant thorn in Ms. Danika Domino, Erik Grason, and the Rampage Wrestling Board of Directors’ side. Even though Alton Black has came close to creating full fledge anarchy in Rampage Wrestling, especially with Chaos Inc’s actions at Rude Awakening in Abilene, Texas last May 2023, there was a fine like Alton Black never crossed: he NEVER put his hands on Rampage Wrestling’s CEO, Ms. Danika Domino. The Maniac Jester and Alton Black’s goals for Chaos Inc have seem to diverge. As a result, Jester pulled a coup d’etat at A Rampage Classic in Lubbock, Texas last September 2023, and violently ousted Alton Black with the Queen of Chaos Aryn Eris, and Alton Black’s very own flesh and blood, the Son O. Black. The sympathetic Rampage Wrestling locker room who have no love for Alton Black at the time, pulled a bloodied up Alton Black away from the newly reformed Chaos Inc. But Alton Black went missing at the end of A Rampage Classic. After months of absence, Alton Black makes his triumphant return in Abilene, Texas at the Big Country Rumble last November 2023. After attacking his former comrades Jester, Aryn Eris, and his very own son, the Son of Black, Alton Black makes his mission statement: he created Chaos Inc. Now it is his mission to dismantle it. Since November 2023, Alton Black has become a thorn in Jester’s Chaos Inc. While it seems like it is all water under the bridge, it is hard to fully trust the tall handsome man with the red right hand who once wanted to cause full fledge anarchy in Rampage Wrestling. But so far, Alton Black has become a formidable ally in Rampage Wrestling’s war against Chaos Inc. Alton Black challenged Jester to a Coffin Match at A Rampage Classic in Lubbock, Texas on September 28th, 2024. But Erik Grason is still trying to negotiate with the Rampage Wrestling Board of Directors. A win today might convice the rest of the board members to sign off on this match, and force Jester to compete in this Coffin Match. Can Alton Black win today and hopefully seal the deal to get his Coffin Match with Jester at the Rampage Classic in Lubbock, Texas on September 28th, 2024?
Ryder Cage, the silent but deadly chair swinging brawler, made his Rampage Wrestling debut at Boiling Point in Abilene, Texas on July 30th, 2022. His debut was a controversial win as he caved DL Hartley’s skull with a hard chair shot. Ever since that controversial debut, the Rampage Wrestling Board of Directors are constantly fining and suspending Ryder Cage for his constant use of the steel chair, as well as his constant unprovoked attacks at DL Hartley. But the Rampagers’ view on Ryder Cage changed at the conclusion of Ryder Cage and DL Hartley’s memorable Last Man Standing Match at the Rampage Rumble last April 2023. Ryder Cage took the loss like a man and extended his hand out to DL Hartley. The Rampagers roar in approval after DL Hartley shook Ryder Cage’s hand. Ever since that handshake, the Rampagers began to slowly get behind Ryder Cage. Ryder Cage became a full fledge fan favorite after ending Jester’s historic 497 day run as Rampage Wrestling Rising Star Champion. Everything was looking up for Ryder Cage, until he voluntarily relinquished his Rising Star Championship at Killer Instinct - Bad Blood in Lubbock, Texas this past January due to an undisclosed injury. But since recovering, Ryder Cage looks to climb back up to the mountain top and earn another championship opportunity. A win over a former Rampage Wrestling Champion should definitely get the Rampage Wrestling Championship Committee’s attention. Ryder Cage’s story is a strange one as he has not really change anything about himself. But the Rampagers fully embrace this stoic man who lives by the code, violence is a virtue. Can Ryder Cage defeat former Rampage Wrestling Champion Alton Black and get the Rampage Wrestling Championship Committee’s attention?
What a unique match up in Rampage Wrestling: two of the biggest villians in Rampage Wrestling, are now two of the biggest heroes in Rampage Wrestling. Which of these antiheroes will leave West Texas ComicCon with the win? The referee for this match is Joshua Montes.
