There's a much simpler way which doesn't involve any additional "tools" i.e. plastic bag. Though it does help to have a second pair of hands to help. Take the two loose tails and twist them tightly together until they form a nice tight "rope". Then rotate the wooden toggle in the same direction as the two strands are twisted, whilst pulling gently. The toggle will unscrew itself off the wristband. Simples
Impressive! I just have weird hands I can squish down to pull the band off...though I always have to keep mine loose enough to fit my gloves underneath anyway :D

They didn't put mine on tight enough, I could take it off anyway if I wanted.
