    Thanks for this video! Thought I had to go to the Audi dealership thinking my windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced.
    Watched this video, tighten the wiper’s bolts, and my wipers work perfectly again! Probably saved me $500+.

    My driver's wiper stopped moving fully after it tried to move a lot of heavy snow. I could move it by hand from the off position to the top of the windshield. After tightening the bolt. I couldn't move it by hand any more, and it was working properly.
    Thank you so much for this video. Less than a 5 minute fix.

    Thank you so much for making this video! My driver side wiper has been doing this for weeks and it's been driving me nuts! I was really worried I have to replace the whole arm, motor and everything! I just drove home tonight in a rain storm and it either did that or it would go too far over and get stuck between the frame of the car and the side mirror; I had to pull over on the side of the highway 11 times!! I was calling my car everything but a car! Lol 😂

  • @alansmith5295
    @alansmith5295 3 роки тому

    Thank You SO MUCH !!!!
    This issue had me trying to drive to a local garage in a downpour and it was so fortunate that the rain was so bad I could not see well enough to drive the three blocks to my nearby repair shop. I was sitting in my house waiting for a break in the rain when I decided to look online. After all, I was already drenched and I figured I would at least have some idea of what it was going to cost me. Because of that, it cost me NOTHING. The fix took less than 3 minutes on my 2004 Chevy impala. It was exactly the same 13 mm nut size and since I already had a socket wrench loaded to go when I walked outside, it took more time to release the latch and lift the hood than to repair the issue.
    They both work PERFECTLY now!!!!
    Kudos from your newest subscriber in Texas !!!!

    Mechanic just quoted me $650 for this exact problem. I literally tightened one nut and problem was solved. I was told I need new motor and transmission, but it's all working normally now. In a few years, I'll be replacing my own motor and trans. It's so easy, looks like a 30 minute job. I'm really stupid when it comes to vehicles but replacing the motor and trans are so easy a little kid could do it. I love youtube.

My Son and I replaced the wiper arms on his 2000 Buick Century and they worked okay when we tested, but now they don't and he says the drive side one slipped all the way over to the outer mirror. I thought maybe we had stripped the linkage somehow, because when loosening the nuts, the protruding bolt turned, but maybe we just didn't tighten them enough when we put it back together. It looks like there was some version of Loktite on there.

    For those that just happen to have this problem and just tightening fixes it !
    It will get lose again after time and of course it will happen when you most need it !
    Remove the nut all the way and insert this type put nut back and tighten and problem is permanently fixed!!
    Make sure its stainless steel so it will not corrode you can buy a single piece for less than a dollar at home depot or lowes or walmart. Very similar to this! ua-cam.com/video/JOTmsQQjLB0/v-deo.html its has different names depending on what company makes it ..Rigid lock washer/external Tooth lock washer etc ... just make sure the teeth are sticking out both ways on a staggered fashion so it can bite both sides of the metal!

    My car has been crossing for weeks and therefore the one on the drivers side does absolutely nothing to help me see, and its been raining and snowing so much frequently and I've just been trying to see through the drops and smears on the windshield. Hopefully this works for my car, I don't have money to keep fixing things.

    What happens if that bolt is already tight? I have an 08 silverado and the passenger side hit the driver side and now I can freely move the passenger side but it still work. What would be the cause
