-Our Intro Song "Feel the Love" From Alex's band
open.spotify.c...
Hey guys!
I prob should’ve mentioned the best way to enjoy Floyd is to sit back and relax but I think we should also appreciate that this was an authentic experience and he really enjoyed the song a bunch, rated it an S, and continued to gush over the song even after we finished the recording.
I’ve watched LOADS of Floyd reactions, so I get it and also can get frustrated when I watch reactions where people talk over the music, but just wanted to say despite that, this was a real experience/showing and we’ve shared an amazing Floyd track with him and that’s what this channel’s all about, thank you! ❤️🔥
- Andy
The end doesn't always justify the means...jus' sayin'
@@andyandalex 👍🤠 I understand Andy. I was irritated watching as it almost seemed you were too. I love sharing music with people. Might I suggest The End (Doors) but close your eyes and enjoy, no lyrics, my daughter said they’re distracting when I played it for her.
👍🤠 Andy, you should have told him to just close his eyes and let Pink Floyd do what they do better than anyone else. And please don’t talk just enjoy the ride.
Agreed.
Talking all through the song, looking all around the room..... If I was playing this song with another person and he keep talking, I"d shut it off and leave the room.
@@jayharder2598 I did that for my daughter. Whole album of course. . . Give me your phone… no one else in room…turn off the lights and enjoy. When she was done (keep in mind she’s 20 and loves music but hasn’t experienced Pink Floyd correctly.) she said that was WAY better than I thought it would be, that was really good.
@@jayharder2598 I expected him at some point to grab his phone and start checking out his FB or IG.... while still spewing inanities. He was totally faking being into the song.
Andy needs to mudic share Monday more Syd Floyd with Alex
" Arnold Layne"
Can you imagine hearing this for the first time when it first came out???? I absolutely grew up with the BEST music. I am now 69 years old and still rock out to Pink Floyd.
I agree and I do remember when this came out...wow! Head trip.
Same here bro, and I turn 79 today! What a privilege to be able to say that I matured among some of the best musicians of any era. PF rocks and will continue to rock as long as there are people left to listen to it.
Exactly the same here.
The idea of rocking out to Pink Floyd is an old man's attempt to portray themselves as "cool", sit down farty, let the games begin.
Me too!
Sitting on old sofas in the dark in a basement, lit only by the light of the stereo receiver dial, a cloud of pot smoke in the air, we're feeling mellow and quiet... and this song begins.
@@kevinpolito1529 been there,
Yeah, and his friend is the opposite of mellow and quiet. Kinda broke the spell over snd over for me
I think I know that basement. 😂
@@pattyliedel6485 me too.
I had one of those radio shack things that did a mini lightshow to the music...hahahah
Glad he liked it so much and gave it an S tier. But honesty I'd rather see you and Alex reacting to songs you haven't heard before.
@@alrivers2297 isn’t that why we come here every 48 hours
And Syd, whom they hadn't seen for years and barely recognized, walked into the studio while they were working on this album.
Some people talk because they have something to say, others talk because they have to say something
Talking is not the same as having something to say.
@Tommeadowcroft nailed it. Did you manage to make it till the end? I had to bail.
You know it's going to be rough when he says "This is a 10 minute song?" like it's a church sermon he's being forced to sit through
annoying as sh3t
My thoughts exactly, Floyd needs silence not Trump like rambles.
Is your friend one of those who talks through movies? LOL it's all good it's a reaction
No, it’s not all good. It’s called listening to music, not listening to yourself talk over the music! I know, if I don’t like it I can “turn it off “ or change the channel!
Bro on the right talking over so many cool parts was killing me ha ha
SIT BACK AND RELAX LOL!!!!!
I just smoked & then Pink Floyd comes on. 😂😂
First saw Floyd in 1968 at the free trade hall Manchester UK, I didn't speak to anyone for the next 3 days
I know I'm late to the Pink Floyd party, but I just bought this album and was listening to it earlier today!
Welcome, you crazy diamond!
Never too late!
There is a reason Pink Floyd are timeless
I got to see them perform 'wish you were here', 'animals' and most of 'darkside of the moon' in 1977 in Munich Germany while stationed in the army. I had some German friends while there who took me to the show in celebration of my son being born 2 days prior. Out of what has to be over 100 concerts of a lot of the rock bands I have attended, it is the only ticket stub that I have. I may or may not have been under the influence of psychedelics at the time but, the imagery that they put on with the music was way ahead of anything else at the time. Lights, video showing time lapsed scenes, Gilmore's guitar playing in frequencies that illicit body and mind reaction is incredible. Gilmore once stated in a interview that he knew he wasn't as fast as most other guitar players so he developed this style of playing and I am grateful that he did.
Your friend Chris saying that he has "high hopes" for this song made me chuckle a bit because of course "high hopes" is a Pink Floyd song.
I think he tasted the sauce but didn’t fall in and get lost. And kept pulling Andy out of the sauce.
Yep!
My first concert was Pink Floyd in 87 and this is the song they opened up with. I knew the "hits" at that time never heard this before. Well everything I took started to kick in and this came on and it's been one of my favorite Floyd songs since. They did part 2 after the intermission. Great song and great reaction, thanks!
I saw them in ‘87 at the Carrier Dome.
@@colleenwood8220 I seen them at the Rosemont Horizon (now Allstate Arena) in Chicago. Was an excellent show.
Yes, he talks a lot, but he did give it an S-tier! Not everyone reacts the same, which makes watching interesting.
He was faking it for the sake of the channel. No one can listen to PF while yapping all the way through it and have any sort of understanding or appreciation of it.
@@nordvegfigg7746 A&A wouldn't want anyone to be fake, there seems to be plenty of reactors doing that. He just likes to talk. People don't listen the same.
Enjoyed both appearances by Chris but thank goodness he didn't identify Pink Floyd as a singular person like he did Steely Dan. 🙂
and a b for Peg! no way
Chris. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Nobody told him the PF rules!
Well done, Andy. That's why you guys are my sons. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He's a little bit annoying with his need to fill the musical space with his yapping.
I don’t mind it. He says what a lot of us thought the first time listening.
A little bit?
Explain to your boy that while he’s talking during the song, he’s missing out on half of its brilliance.
Well, he IS wearing headphones so he's probably missing a lot less than you think.
NO TALKING WHILE THE SONG IS PLAYING.....
PLEASE!!
The first time I heard Pink Floyd was 1970 on the first time I took a drug greater than pot. The album was Ummagumma and a couple of songs that I remember specifically were Careful With That Axe, Eugene and Astronome Domine, both of which were exceptional for the state that I was in. After that, I wasn’t particularly moved by them since it seemed to me that they were only “in it for the money“. How wrong I was. at 72 now I’ve been pulled back in and happily so. Even the most commercially successful pieces are above average. Many of the others are hard to touch and equal the best of two of my favorites Queen and Led Zeppelin. see even an old dog (and this dog is old) can reborn tricks. In short, few bands equal
Pink Floyd; none exceed.
Ditto, Ummagumma was my first intro to PF back in the early 70's. Lights out in our dorm room except a florescent.
Your friend has “High Hopes” not realizing that’s another Pink Floyd song.
The sax solo starts with a baritone sax, then switches to a tenor.
David Gilmour composes his solos by first singing them, then playing along.
Like the Beatles, Pink Floyd are their own genre.
Pink Floyd definitely has sax appeal. 😉
Pink Floyd takes you to another dimension. I saw them on the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour in the 70's. I've been to over 50 concerts but Pink Floyd was the most mind blowing experience I ever had.😊✌️🌻🌻
@@Oldschoolnana I’ve been to a bunch of concerts too, never counted but probably around there. My first was Pink Floyd in 75 they played Animals (before it was released) then they did Wish You Were Here album and Dark Side of the Moon and Echoes as an encore. Hard to top that concert.
GOOOOOOOOD MORNING A&A FAMILY!!! ☮️💟♾️
Hey John!
Morning 😺 🌹@@catbutte4770
So
Much
Sauce
And I could've gotten lost in that sauce if it weren't for the talking. 😑
Four minutes in and his chatter is getting somewhat bothersome.
I lasted 2:30. 🤦
I know. The reason I like this channel is because Andy & Alex don't talk during the song. This guy is pissing me off.😡🤬🤬
@@Oldschoolnana Yep. Andy and Alex have always been respectful of the music.
I lasted to the 6 minute mark. But it was a chore to do so.
Very meta watching a guy I love to watch react to songs react to his buddy reacting to a song
And being a bit annoyed I think
I was fortunate enough to see Floyd live 6x (never with Roger Waters, sadly, but I’ve seen Roger solo a few times as well. Floyd is one of my all time favs too (as Andy stated). Seeing a Floyd show was quite the event and all the shows I saw were wonderful and a spectacle to behold. We won’t see many bands as powerful in the future.
I saw "Dark Side of the Moon" tour in the 70's. It was mind blowing.😊
The talking! Christ!
Echoes would destroy this man.
fuck yeah
@isac8158
I second that emotion !
Caveman says “Me Likey!!”.
HELL YES!!!!! THIS JUST MADE MY WEEK! ☮️💟♾️
Hey John! Happy Wednesday!
My favorite song, synth pads, sax, and expressive guitar, so smooth and awesome!
I actually found A&A's channel when I was looking for reactions to Pink Floyd music. I then found Andy's channel. Now it's back to Pink Floyd, so cool!
Morning sunshine
@@Shadowrider1872 Hi!
Another “Wasted Wednesday”. So much music to react to and here we are doing this…
So annoying😖 Show this dude the freakin door!
I tell my friends and family the phrase SHINE …. YOU CRAZY DIAMOND, As my way of saying YOU ROCK👍♥️… I love your channel and been subbed for 2 years now 👍🙋🏻♀️🩵
friend LOOKS BORED. Why bother doing this?
He looked bored and distracted and just kept babbling nothing-ness. The worst video I've ever seen on this channel. I will avoid any reaction he's on here.
@@nordvegfigg7746 I think this is whats happening. Andy and Alex who dont many many songs to begin with supposedly now think they have run out of songs. yea , Right... anyways they now will re do many of the songs they have done here and bring in clowns for their reactions. So what do you think of of this Zeppelin song? well.. eh its not my cup of tea, I like Taylor Swift...
Those MiniMe A & A head-bobbers on the table ..... you need to get one for Chris, with a pull-string on the back that makes it talk, rather than just appreciate the sauce.
But hey, I guess it IS a reaction channel. Great to see a new Floyd fan regardless. 13 mins can be a stretch in these decades.
The bobble head's were made by a subscriber for them. Hand painted and even a little real leather jacket for Alex.
@@Shadowrider1872
Yep ... those bobbleheads are deffo the dogs bollocks.
You are correct that attention spans aren't what they used to be.
Some songs you dont talk over. ????
Should’ve done this with the camera off. Perhaps at your house over the weekend.
Do you think Andy likes Floyd❓
Should have done the live version from Pulse
Briliant. Not my favourit Floyd song though. That is Time. Check out David Gilmour, on the Live in Gdansk Album. Absoluely epic
Any chance of your buddy sending me some of the hair off his legs? Mine are really girly!
He didn’t recognize the unmistakable sound of a saxophone? You should ridicule him for the remainder of his days for not knowing that.
Youth is wasted on the young.
In his defense, you don't hear an alto sax very often.
@@Crash765 Matters not. The decree to taunt has been executed and sent down from on high. It shan’t be revoked.
Hide the rope and sharp objects. Floyd are well depressing
Stop talking
How sad. The inability to hear music as music. This need to trivialize music by only imagining it as a soundtrack to something else...something visual or familiar...permeates generations today. Imagine a world where art isn't reduced to wallpaper, where sculpture isn't used as a hat stand. Imagine artists who lived in that world and created, knowing that there was a receptive and involved audience. And imagine an audience that knew that it isn't possible to talk and listen at the same time. It's like sci-fi now. Why not show him the Mona Lisa and see if it reminds him of any old girlfriends, or resembles any cashiers he's known. Nice try, Andy. Pearls before swine, though.
Nailed it.
I was going to use that phrase myself, but young people don’t seem to know it and take it literally. Like you’re actually calling the person a swine. But it sure fits here.
Stoner music.
❤

This dude is usually behind me at concerts yapping
@@johnmusser8925 🤣
Damn his buddy is getting serious grief for yapping all the way through it!
All right gave you a warning you're done. You cannot talk over David Gilmour solos it just cannot be done.
No call back, go play pool.
I didn't mind the talking, maybe because I've listened to this so many times. There's something excellent about watching as he just had to say something, moved to react to the music. Relatable somehow.
Dude, this guest is not right for the channel. It’s like that talker during a movie….
To me: this is my FAVORITE ALBUM by Floyd....but, almost even with Dark Side Of The Moon - JUST SO, SO GOOD!! ENJOY, FELLAS!!!
Poor Andy, trying his damnest to get lost in the sauce and Buzz Boy can't keep his fricken' mouth shut, ruining the mood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like you either drown in this music or you don't. There is no explanation, just pure beauty, emotion and music. I have been listening to this album for almost 50 years and I still drown every time I hear it. We were such lucky kids to have Pink Floyd in our lives. And now we are lucky old folks. 😂
My only problem with peoplw talking a bunch during the song is that they're missing atuff rhey were intended to hear. Save up those comments and pause the song a few times man!
Edit...i made the comment above toward the beginning and while reading ither comments. He really didnt talk over it very much. Not even worth commenting about it
Andy is absolutely Correct aboout this Album. Wish You Were Here has NO BA SONGS ON IT.
Got my tickets for David Gilmour at Royal Albert Hall
Oct 14
11th row ctr ❤️🎶🎸
I tried. I got five minutes in and stopped. he was just way too annoying with all the constant talking
Andy is trying so hard to enjoy the listening experience but gets shut down repeatedly.
Switched off after 3 minutes cos of that windbag.
me too!
There is only one way to listen to this. No lights, no talking and a big fatty
Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the music.
Syd blew his mind out. Cautionary tale that mental illness (or pre-disposition) and hallucinogenics don’t mix. The look in your eyes….
If there is a heaven, Shine On You Crazy Diamond pt2 will be the background music when you enter through The Pearly Gates... *sigh*
Hey, new guy - when you're talkin', you ain't listening.
The end of album is also epic… "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (Parts VI-IX)
"... and then there was Jimmy Two Times, who got that nickname because he said everything twice"
-- Goodfellas
I saw them in 1975 in Hamilton Canada in a soccer stadium. definitely a life changing experience , I have seen many concerts but nothing touches theirs and the journey they take you on,
That must have been awesome. I love Hamilton! ❤
The A&A boys still haven't heard a LOT of great songs, so I'd rather they didn't repeat any to show a friend...to show us. Just my opinion. It's their channel, and I've been with them almost from the first video Andy did solo.
Really? After five years? You don’t think they’ve heard allot of great songs? Jeez, man…..
I think Syd actually got schizophrenia. People blame the heavy acid use but he was also at the age that people develop it. It was heartbreaking for these guys to see a person who they thought was a real genius lost to debilitating mental illness and then haunted by what could have been and their own feelings of having betrayed and abandoned their friend. So much of their music has this dark quality because of being haunted by Syd Barrett.
I remember reading that David G cried when they realized it was Syd
Hard to watch and listen to the yappy man.
You should show your friend Echoes live at Pompeii from '71. We're here for it!
Just exclude the ‘your friend’ element ❤

That’s it? “Here’s Chris?” Who is he??? And why is he there??? And duh…WHERE TF is Alex???
And reading through the comments…I didn’t even play through the vid because of everyone calling out Chris’s over-yappin’ over the music; it would just piss me off and ruin the experience. I’ll listen to Floyd’s “Diamond” on my own.
I don't think Chris liked it much..He looked bored and interrupted so much to talk to Alex pretending he liked it..But we could see he didn't..Which is fine, but please Alex, don't have him back to react to Pink Floyd..You either get it or you don't..
Andy you need to tell him,”No talking during Pink Floyd.” Also, keeping with the Pink Floyd vibe-I’m wearing my Wish You Were Here tee shirt…see Pink Floyd is kind of mystical if you’re quiet and just let the music guide you…serendipity ❤❤❤
Yes it is widely believed that Syd was schizophrenic. Early 20’s is usually when it manifests. So heartbreaking. Apparently a brilliant, funny, charismatic man before he became ill.
Loved Chris.! Would love to play pool and drink a few beers with him. Seems a top lad 👊🏻
Hey Andy, I really enjoyed your reaction and commentary to this lovely tune. I've also enjoyed your friend Chris's reactions as well. He seems have a good ear for music I hope you'll invite him back in future. I hope Alex is well and doing okay. If I may be so bald as to suggest another song for you and Chris to react to, if interested. "WAR - Slippin' Into Darkness [Extended Version]" (by the channel: War) --This song was written and performed by War and is from their album called "All Day Music" released in 1971 and produced by Gerry Goldstein. FunFact: This song was sampled in 1999 by the band "TLC" on their album "Fanmail" and the hook to this song was used as the basis of the song: Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley. And as always, I enjoyed hanging out and rocking with you two. Thanks for sharing. peace out~
When listening to Pink Floyd, eyes and mouth closed. Open mind and enjoy…
Knowing the bg of Syd makes these lyrics so impactful !
Worth noting: this works best with the full SoYCD: put the front half and back half together.
Andy needs to mudic share Monday more Syd Floyd with Alex
" Arnold Layne"
Pink Floyd always wants you to go wherever your imagination leads you. That saxophone sends my mind to an image of a streetlamp on a dark, foggy corner. A lone, shadow of a sax player leaning up against the post in an old pair of pants, an outdated sports jacket and a top hat, caught up a world of his own, unaware of anything beyond his music.
Saw them do this during their Wish You Were Here/Animals tour in 1977. Was an amazing show.
If they had a competition of the band with the highest IQ, Pink Floyd would win
Yeah…perhaps……Tool as well…..
I think Queen may disagree.
You could be playing a lullaby and your head would still be bobbing up and down😂. There are times when it’s alright to just be still.
Should have dosed your freind before listening...he would be quiet
In my opinion you really need to watch the video to this song. The visuals add so much. ✌️❤️
It's disrespectful to yap during the Floyd.
Shut upppp
And FWIW the guy on fire in the album cover is real, a stuntman
Pink Floyd much like Yes is a band you could totally get lost in the sauce with.
Dude, shhhhhhhhhhh, the song is playing
