OMG, so useful, I have been trying to figure out how to do exactly what you describe, I have been going bananas cutting the video into smaller sections and reinserting it on every slide !! this is gonna save me so much time !!
I now only wonder whether it is possible to have section breaks within the video, à la UA-cam sections, so that the video stops at regular intervals synched with the slides content. I will dig around withe playback video options (maybe there's something there)

When I try to add "After 10 slides" or any number, it displays an exclamation mark icon. Then the video refuses to move forward. What am I doing wrong?

If you're using a Mac, this feature is not available on our version of PPT.

does anybody have a hack for when the video is filling the whole screen? As long as the text is not in the space of the video everything is ok. But as soon as there is a conflict, the video remains in the front and I cannot get it into the background and the options move to front/back are greyed out. The video will then cover the text on consecutive slides. I know, it's never enough, they always want more! 🙂

That's bc in your selection pane, your video is on top and running full screen

could you assist me please, i have followed your video and when playing my creation on powerpoint its all good, but when saved as a video i get the slides with audio but instead of the video i get a still image on the first slide and all the rest of the slides no video plays. how do i fix this?

Interesting but how to put text over the video? If you see "La montaña" on your third slide the word "montaña" is below the video and we can't see it completely. We can see only "monta". In other words, how to let the video stay in the background? Sorry for my english

When I add the number of slides for the video to play on powerpoint- it gives an error sign and on slide show the audio plays across the slides but the video does not show. What do I do?

You probably have a mac. Mac version does not support video playback across slides :( It says so when you hover over that error sign.

Great idea but I think there is an easier way to do the same. Just have a single slide with video playing and then animate the texts in and out of the slide either automatically or each time you click the mouse while the video keeps playing. No?

Yes that would work. I’ve done it that way before, but sometimes it helps to have a new blank slide to make the animations etc. less complicated.
