none of the angels cards say city in the banner. not sure why the ohtani was flipped. 31 appears to be a base. they moved the indication from under the card number to under Topps logo.
The bottom left corner will tell you what it is. That particular George Kirby card is a black and white variation. With the ohtani card, Heritage does put error variations in their products. I zoomed in on the ohtani and did not see the variation marks on the back which makes me think it could be a legitimate error card. Like they screwed up during production. I know a lot about heritage because it is my favorite set. I love set collecting.
I got one of these at my local shop yesterday and I got a Purple Chrome refactor in every pack. Guy told me it was a Hot Box. I'm just getting back into this so don't know the terms lol but it was a fun box to open. You get alot for the value. Also got the Ohtani card with no Angels name.
On the back of a variation card, It says "Variation" right above the word Topps, written down below on the left. I pulled a Riley Greene RC Variation and It's just like the 1989Upper Deck Dale Murphy reverse-negative If you recall?
Love this set. The first pack I ever bought was in 1974. Brought me back. Just bought a box at Target for $50 and pulled a Juan Soto stamp card /50 as well as a Will Brennan RC mini card /100. Enjoyed the rip.
I've had good luck with retail heritage in the past. Red real one auto out of blaster and a cut auto out of a hanger. Nothing huge, but a 1/1 and a hand numbered auto out of retail ain't too shabby. Maybe better odds in retail from past years? I also pulled a 1/1 Trout bazooka out of a gypsy queen blaster!
I’ve gotten in on player breaks on this, bought like 3 or 4 guys I like, and netted one chrome across all and then just a giant stack of paper base lol. Team break prob a better option.
I'm a sucker for Heritage. I like graded Heritage RCs better than Topps flagship in a lot of cases. But the odds of hitting a good auto or anything better are TERRIBLE. 😅
God bless you today and Jesus loves you. I am excited to get my hands on some 2023 Heritage. One of the things I love to do every year is to complete the master set, and I plan to get a couple hobby boxes, but the SP's are always hard to get. I was wondering though are there any High Number SP's (401-500), you pulled that you might be willing to part ways with? I would so love to work something out and make a deal. God bless you truly and Jesus loves you so much! I have subbed to you and appreciate you so much.
Love heritage it’s 100% a collectors rip. The funniest thing after following you, Chi and Hitman. The best return/value I’ve ever had from any product is 2022 Leaf Metal baseball Jumbo. 3 card flipped to cover the box and the best prospects held for a future chance. Panini and Topps don’t even come close on the return. You guys should use your influence to help your followers instead of just feeding the hype
Why would people think that you would know Doug Collins?? No offense but when he was coaching the Bulls you were quite young...then he was an announcer but again I am thinking you were a little young (guessing on the age based on when you collected). People can be trolls...great job on the rip as always. All Angels cards don't have the Los Angeles this year in Topps. Same in Bowman and Series 1. Card 7 is the insert, variation, SP, etc. position. Variation type is listed on the bottom left corner of the stat box this year. Super small print.
I disagree with you on big hits. These boxes are way better than last year's as far as getting short prints and autos. I pulled a Buxton auto a Bryant variation and a Anthony Volpe ssp in my first hobby box. And I got the Rutschman Harris Gorman and Greene rookies too.
Bro...whyd you say yelich....I got a high number hobby box a month ago and got a yelich patch outta 25...and it was completely destroyed....I'm now triggered
I'm having a hard time understanding why they removed the older players from this set. I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea to pull a Bob Feller or Ty Cobb or Eddie Murray, but I bought this product specifically for the nostalgic mix of old and new players, as well as the different years they'd use for design (three or four worked, seven was too many). In that respect, it was unique and filled a market niche. Now it's just another 2023 set of current players, with a terrible design (1974), featuring the usual assortment of on-the-fly spring training photographs and lack of autos to round out a really boring product. No appeal at all. One would be forgiven for thinking that Fanatics wants to kill off Heritage.
2023 heritage hobby was the worst box. I got no value out of it and relic was a Mookie Betts big deal and it’s an ugly relic. This was the worst money I’ve ever spent on the hobby so far and I’ve been collecting for years now. I will not buy another one of these. Maybe I’ll buy a hanger or 1 blaster, but that is it.
Heritage Degen Club Like here! The floor is low and the ceiling is lower!

I must be regarded, cuz I kinda like heritage!!! I like all the hidden stuff like the missing auto, nicknames, b&w, ect...
Thx for the large variety of products you make videos for. I'm not really a fan of Heritage, but I will never miss a new RGL upload.

Hot box mean it had alot of hits in it
Back Bottom left is where they put the Variation names this year, Above the Topps Logo. The Kirby said B & W.
It is cool seeing a regular rip at a regular price.
rough box but appreciate you rippin this for us!
On the back of a variation card, It says "Variation" right above the word Topps, written down below on the left. I pulled a Riley Greene RC Variation and It's just like the 1989Upper Deck Dale Murphy reverse-negative If you recall?
Not sure if you know yet but it tells you if it’s a sp of some sort on the bottom left
Heritage has always been pretty rough. Don't like to get these unless they go to half off 😅.
A 74 Schmidt or Winfield buyback would be nice
Love the '74 design! 1973 was my first year of collecting so I also dig last year's Heritage.
I'm sold on 2023 Topps Hobby. Thanks for all the data on this product Stryker!
That Dusty promo was the greatest lol
They did the Judge special because he hit the 62 homers last year to match them honoring Hank Aaron in 74 for career HR record.
Low end is fun too, thanks for this video!

There was a no team name david fletcher in the same pack as the kirby bw variation
Uhhhhh, I would check to see if that Shohei is a flipstock.
At 12.20 missing team name on card.
The Drury card did not have a city name
just a team name.Variation?
I’ve gotten in on player breaks on this, bought like 3 or 4 guys I like, and netted one chrome across all and then just a giant stack of paper base lol. Team break prob a better option.
That intro was very well done😂🔥
nice break RGL
Best intro ever. Liking the video just for that. But I'm going to say it your missing the polka-dots
I wish i would’ve watched this video before waiting for the guy at Walgreens to get these off the shelf for me 😩😩
I'm a sucker for Heritage. I like graded Heritage RCs better than Topps flagship in a lot of cases. But the odds of hitting a good auto or anything better are TERRIBLE. 😅
I pulled a red ink Trout and a Yordan Alvarez rookie auto from 2 retail boxes in a row back in 2020.
That is JSN’s brother!
wonder why they couldn't/didn't put LA in the corner of angels cards...

My box was exactly the same... Thanks for the rip Rungood
On the bottom left, James; *IN BOLD* ,...it tells you what it is: Error, variation, swap, etc.
Why would people think that you would know Doug Collins?? Another awesome video 🎉. Even if the box was average
Winfield Rookie was in '74 LOL
I had same reaction pulling a angels card.. lol
Heritage should be guaranteed 1 auto, the $2 relic is BS
Its funny, because for a minute there , I thought you knew what you was talking about...Topps Heritage the best vintage card frame....
didn't lose as much on this than yesterday's rip
Alex Johnson won a batting title. Not a terrible toploader, could be much worse.
That Gleyber went from 3 dollars to 5 dollars by the time the recap 😳.. ha ha
It's $16 now!

1-4. Judge
It's because..no one knows..that the Angels...are in Aneheim
Ouch.... I guess I should count my blessings. I fared much better than you. But hey, you've hit your share of great rips also. Thanks for posting.
Bro...whyd you say yelich....I got a high number hobby box a month ago and got a yelich patch outta 25...and it was completely destroyed....I'm now triggered
Pitching a _______

They do have older, retired players but only on the autograph cards.
Thanks for the rip, if you sell each card for a dollar or more, you will make a profit, just saying. Lol
Bb sp
That box was definitely the wrong box to get from a case.
Heritage is the worst deal in wax...it's horrible paper garbage. And if you hit a refractor it's going to be straight trash
One of the uglier sets to throwback to. Uggo sluggo
2023 heritage hobby was the worst box. I got no value out of it and relic was a Mookie Betts big deal and it’s an ugly relic. How are you going to tell anyone..what to expect... when you don't even know Boss
Wow. What a garbage set of cards. Worthless. So grateful you made this video to help me decide that 2023 topps heritage is not worth buying
Too bad U feel that way, I think Topps Heritage Is about the only ones worth buying!......
I bought 1 pack and got the same relic. What a POS. Lol
