This young man is splitting hairs. He has not lived in different parts of America. Yes there’s crime all over but we can’t paint the lives of blacks in this country to his perspective. It depends on the company u keep. I have lived in America for more than fifty years.
Personally I have not been involved in anything that is criminal in nature or any anti-social activities. Of course I don’t doubt his experience & authenticity. He’s young. He has his whole life ahead of him. My unsolicited advise is to equip himself with further education or learn a trade. America is how u make it or see it. The opportunities abound & time is on his side.

The problem is this. If you go to Europe amd other parts of the West and you go to live and remain in metropolitan urban areas, you have to be lucky to have your children upright.
Please dont tell me you know someone who lived in such places and theyre fine. We like to argue againet issues in a misplaced way. Im talking about the majority.
I saw that earlier so developed myself amd when my children got to their formstive years, moved to the surburban areas amd thyre doing fine.
Blacks i see around where i live are professionals; lecturers, doctors, nurses, accountants, IT workers and so on.
Develop and move out of the metropolitan areas and your children will most likely do well.
Talking about hourly rate, know that youve done some mistakes but youre not done. You are able to achieve a lot because you went there with papers. You cant be ready. Just take the bull by the horn.
One of my sons is 25, and makes £50 an hour, and even that. I'm not happy with him. With a legal qualification I believe he will have to earn more but he is in his early years of practice so I am tolerating it for a while. I've advised him to take up an evening MBA so that he takes up some evening Lecturing at least twice a week. Now, he and his brothers can't leave home till they have their deposite to buy their own home. It can be done.
This is because they were all born in the US so they will jave to earn what their white mates are earning. Thank God my first will comolete Law School this may and my second will charter soon.
Just cool down, discipline yourself and set some goals, you will je able to achieve.
