Here to say it works, I used electrical tape to cover the censor and left on the eject button and for the first time in about 3 years I’m able to use 💿. Thank you so much 👍🏽
I've been listening to beep beep beep. Beep beep beep beep beep beep for about 2 years I ripped the rubber off the bottom and boom no more beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep. Thank u I can play in peace.👍
Just went through the basic cleaning routine you outlined, and the disc eject issue for my PS4 is solved immediately 1st try! Perfect results. Works like new. No further ejecting problems. I didn’t even use the dust spray can, I used q tips, and alcohol because I’m very careful. I believe it was also the rubber boot underneath the eject button, loosened it a bit, etc. I almost started streaming games for more money!!!! Ridiculous! Thank you sir! Great video, and super helpful 👍
mine does this random eject disc thing, i think i'm going to give it a good clean after seeing the video. it could be on single player or multiplayer where it could randomly eject the disc out of nowhere unexpectedly. i usually restart ps4 and then it's ok again for about an hour and then it will likely eject the disc again. i nearly feel like getting a new ps4 console but just imagine having to re-do all those game updates again lol especially the call of duty games that require well over 100gb of updating, it takes ages.
I've been putting up with this ejecting disc problem since 2017. Happened to me first time when I only had 2 hrs of PS4 playing time before bed. it ejected the disc 3 times in row. I was cursing the machine with all the bad language coming out of my mouth. Didn't get to play my PS4 that night and I was worried my PS4 was broken. Tried the tightening screw but it's only a temporary fix but this time after watching your vid, I've opted to go for the covering of the sensor with the tape. That's the best fix so far. Brilliant, thanks man. Video liked
Since I’ve owned my PS4 it has had this problem. Use to unplug everything and it would fix it for a month or 2 so wasn’t to annoying. But recently this pass few months it’s been beeping non stop. Unplugging everything wasn’t working anymore. Watching your video and it saying the rubber piece on bottom can cause it. I pullled it out and I haven’t heard anything in the past few hrs. Your video saved me from buying another ps4 and my sanity.
@@pepitunias0303 god i wish that was the case with me lol, i’ve been having this problem since 2016 and my temporary solution is to remove all the dust from inside out, this solves the issue for about 6 months but this time its not working so i guess i have to risk it and disable the sensor
This video was such a huge help! It was like Chinese water torture hearing my PS4 try to eject a disc every 10 seconds. I removed the back and cleaned the sensor and bent back that metal piece and now its back to normal. Thanks for posting this!
You the man. PS4 had been having disc problems randomly for years and it just got worse until the Playstation wouldn't accept disc's period. I played around with the little screw and has been working fine for days now...don't know why Sony can't just go back to the old ps1/2 days with disc trays that make sense.

Ive got the original release ps4 with sensors not push buttons. Ive done the cleanin... ive removed the rubber bumper... and still every now and again the beeping will return and then disappear. It seems like psn dropped a ghost in the machine and that shit aint goin anywhere lol
