I emailed ronbus asking about possible delisting and this is what they said: “Should that happen we will certainly treat our customers fairly. However, we have been working closely with USAP to ensure our paddles are in compliance with all USAP requirements.”
@JJPickleball nice my cross streets were 7th St and the 101, Ripples will be selling like hotcakes when is released, I've been eyeing on the Pulse V and I know it controversial break in period some reviewers like John Kew said is getting hotter but not a MOD, Joola Gen 3 or Gearbox and others said sweet spot/forgiving tends to get better
@scooby7877 fun paddle but I didn't want to keep adjusting my game to make it work. It does open up and gets hotter which I didn't need but it's moot now that the production model has been changed.
Series 4 Proton is great. Got my wife a 2nd Series 3 with their discount code. Bought a new Series 1 off a friend & played with that today. Series 1 - definitely something different about it.
That “un-named” Selkirk paddle is called the BoomStick. Glad you were able to try it out. Hopefully as a Team Advocate, I get to try it out soon. BTW - please tell me how the 008 played, i.e. power?
re: Ronbus Ripple. The REAL problem is the GearBox Pro Power. That paddle should have NEVER been approved, but even after is was, should have been delisted at the exact same moment as the Joola Gen 3's. Someone at USAP was obviously on the take from GearBox (and apparently still are).
@@robedwards6926Ultimate should definitely be safe. I think that’s why the Ultimate exists because Gearbox may expect their older paddles to fail. Again all of this is speculation still.
Official retail release is supposed to be on the 6th which is not for connect members only. Now how fast the retail release will sell out no one knows.
I think the governing bodies are looking at these power paddles from a business standpoint-that is, they want to continue to grow the sport and revenue. What does that better than anything else? Controversy. The more controversial a paddle is the more people talk about it and keep engagement rolling. From my perspective, this is all strategic. Paddle testing could easily be better and other equipment can be used and appropriate decisions made-that isn’t happening.
@@JJPickleball Thanks. Also, I do have a Ripple beta release and absolutley love it--not sure I'm going to get/like the production model, mainly because I don't really play sanctioned tournaments and I'm not a huge power player--although the power on the beta is great, I don't dial it up often and I don't need more :)
Production Ripple is a different paddle, tactile waves are gone, more power, and even the sound is different. If USAP doesn't re-test it then their system is broken.
I would hope. Just have been hearing a lot of weird stories of companies getting away with stuff this year. I’m assuming Ronbus did, but I haven’t heard anything to confirm.

Appreciate this!!
Another great content and podcast gentlemen, I used to live in AZ, I lived in North Phoenix from 1996, 1998-2010, alot of good memories
Appreciate it! Thats close to where we are!

Pulse V all day, sold my R1 Ripple and have been playing with elongated paddles for 5+ years
Pickleball Apes Pulse V is an amazing paddle.
Any reason for selling it?

Played with Ripple R2 Beta, but the edge guard started to come loose. Switched to a Pulse V, it was ok but since the break in, I’m loving it.
@@kylepickleball fair enough

Love my Roadrunner. The series 1 is certainly unique but solves the durability issue.
The Pulse S is nearly an elongated paddle at 16.4 inches long. Most hybrids are closer to the 16.25 inch area.
How's the competition at your home courts? Tempe Sports Complex is my home base. I really enjoy the vibes there.
I’ve heard good things about that spot! The play over by me is really solid. Have some good groups.
Great place to play

Power was good. Sweet spot was definitely better than the 007.

Rumor is they will not pass re certification in April. Thats why they pivoted to the Ultimate. Just speculation but is a rumor.

@JJPickleball Do you think the mod 15 will fail recertification?
@@robedwards6926highly doubt it since there’s that current lawsuit from the Gen 3 delisting.
You forgot one thing, you can’t buy the Ripple……

You've been to Pickleball Space in Glendale?
Only indoor spot over there I have been to is pickleball kingdom.

I just dont like the way they limit people for buying paddle.
@@rollingchopsticks that's only for the betas and anyone can join their Connect program
Who wants to buy my beta Ripple R1.14? 😊
Haha this is a new one. Certainly is a market.
