What a great video! I think this is the best video in the history of Gravel Bike California. Truly remarkable. Your spoken videos are so informative and entertaining. Congratulations and Thank you for sharing this beautiful video.
Thanks for highlighting the beauty of my home base…the Sonoma Coast! I tell people that the 11-mile stretch from Fort Ross State Historic Park to Jenner offers more bang for the buck (or mile) than Big Sur. And with a little local knowledge you can easily avoid the brief periods of high traffic.
I've done some of those coastal trails before, but I was worried about getting a flat out there since I wasn't tubeless on this bike. I agree that that section is magical.
Historical, educational, adventurous & inspirational are just a few adjectives (maybe add crazy) that come to mind. You did an excellent job chronicling this beautiful stretch of land. It was a joy to watch, thank you Zack 👏
Awesome series, I watched it all in one sitting. Your definitely brave riding along highway 1, when I lived in Point Arena the traffic and lack of shoulder deterred me from ever riding anywhere.
hey man hope you're well thanks for the awesome videos. I was checking outr the calendar and I did want to let you know that the 2nd annual free self sustained South Bay Brew Baix is happening April 13. It includes 3 different courses ranging from 44, 77, and 101 miles. Exploring the best gravel routes in South San Diego. Hope you can share that ride would mean a lot to see more people come experience great gravel riding I say again this is a FREE EVENT
Just found you👋🇨🇦…we’ve been down the coast three times now and I always wondered what it would be like to bike. We left our tent trailer parked at the KOA in Petaluma and set of on days trips. Thanks for sharing✅✅✅
This series was the best! Hope you’ll show us more California touring videos in the future. Question: did you bring a bike lock? Or did you just chance it when going to restaurants and cafes?
Yes, but....I ditched it after day one because I really needed the space. It was a cheap lock that meant to slow someone down as I never was too far from the bike.
I really enjoyed this three part series. What a beautiful and historic ride.
Thanks. As tough as it was, I really appreciate having the opportunity.

Thank you! Somehow editing these matched my emotions during the ride. The final chapter was cathartic to make.

Thank you so much for sharing your wondering adventure. Great ride and beautiful life.
I appreciate it. I hope everyone has the chance to adventure no matter how big or small.
Wow. Excellent solo adventure, and great work chronicling and summing it all up to share. Bravo!
Thanks Henry. I thought finishing the videos would help me step away, but I never will...
It's not going too far to call it a life changing experience. Lots of time to think about lots of things.

Thank you. I hope to do more!!

I appreciate it. Took me a year to make! I think my comfort on Hwy 1 comes from battling all the LA traffic...
Great series, thanks for putting these together and for your important commentary!
Thanks. California has so many opportunities, but the Eastern Sierra and North Coast are my favorites.
Epic 3 part series and ride, congrats.
...and yes, I hope you can give it a go.
Great wrap up of a great ride - looks like it was emotionally as well as physically challenging!
Yes. You want an adventure like this to be an experience, but completing it without a hitch is a tough overtone out there.
Great series, thank you for putting it together. Great scenery and a phenomenal experience from the looks of it.
Thanks. This was one I was targeting for years.
Fantastic video! Thanks for Sharing ☺️👍🏼🚴🏼♂️
Glad I could complete it!
Love your videos. Love how you highlight all the local hotspots and regions. Keep up the great work.
I almost split up the last day into two videos, one with just the riding and the other with more landmarks, but I think this balance worked better.
great video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome as always definitely don’t want to do this many miles in one day and need a crew
And a helicopter!!
Enjoyed the series, great job!
Thanks. Definitely something I had wanted to accomplish for awhile.

I'm already signed up for the tourist race that day, but send me a link and I'll add it onto our calendar page.
Nice! You looked worked again LOL. Let's call this ambitious; great route and video series sir.
Yes! Thank you!

I think I'd like to try it again, but maybe avoid the dirt in Usal and spend an extra day in Shelter Cove.

Would be nice to bike in lower elevation..im at 5000 ft and too cold most days now
Funny thing here is you need to carry a number of layers as conditions can really shift by the coastline.
@@GravelBikeCalifornia makes sense.. I'm not sure I could handle the damp weather but how beautiful
