I've been trying to find at least one video where someone plays the battle arena in 1.0 update and showcase multiple ants againts other types of ants to see how they preform (and definitely not the ones that use like hundreds ants without giving them a closer look like a 1v1 or a small battle for that matter like this video). I would love to see this become a series if possible.

I'm glad you liked the video and the format! I'm planning on running this for another 4 episodes but I have some more idea's for different battle arena formats for future videos. Appreciate the support!

Yeah, the Army Ants for their cost aren’t really that strong stat-wise, they’re more or less support units.
Feel like the Black Ants would’ve had a bit of a better showing at Level 3 due to the increased attack sped they get.
Not surprised about the Stink Ant results, the AoE in their attack is very good in scenarios like this where they face a lot of enemies at once.
And within ants there aren't that many big ants mostly small ants in swarms. They would probably have difficulty against leafcutter majors and big headed supersoldiers also matabele soldiers probably termite majors too (and get demolished by the bullet ants) but besides that every single other ant is sensitive to splash damage. Actually im saying this but idk if they are good against medium size ants like trapjaws, leafcutter mediae, medics, etc so idk
@@GooeyZeb That’s definitely another thing, there wasn’t any decently large many that they had to fight against. Leafcutters and Drivers will post a bigger challenge than any ant here.

If you do do level 3s in the future, will you give the fire ants a two for one combo or keep it straight? I've done tournaments like this before and I have always done it a different. BTW great video and I eagerly await the next.
I'm keen to do this series again with all at level 3, the response to it has been so positive. With regards to the fire ants, they should get two ants per food cost and I imagine they would comfortably win the whole thing in that case... I'll probably play around with it as it may not be the best viewing if they totally walk it even if it is balanced that way... will let you know.

Actually the black ants should have been higher than the fire ants since if you make them fight the black ants always win ive tested this myself and with level 3 or not they just have the stingers that do extra damage
Keep in mind that it's vigorous fire ants, also at level 3 fire ants get 2 ants per tile

Wait how much do the stink ants even cost 300 ? Well that would be logical as they aparently do aoe attacks on all attacks.

Going to guess bullet ants will win easily
I mean, technically bullet ants are only available when they are level 3 and cost as much to hatch, which is not as easy to ignore as every other ants only cost 10% to hatch.
And so, if he wants to follow the base game, 24 black ants is 1200 food, 1200 food, without the hatches is like 2.7 bullet ants or only 2, hatches included.
Meaning that the most realistic thing to do is the latter, 2 lvl 3 bullet ants.
Well it depends will the bullet ants have an execute on every hit the stink ants have aoe on every hit so bullet will one shot their opponent no matter what but will get overwhelmed very easily while stink ants do aoe so they are capable of crowd control and i believe they do decent damage as well so they might perform better than bullet ants in most cases seing as though every ant is executable most are cheap and numerous.
Plan is as skywanderer says for two bullet ants. They'll be the only ones at level 3 using an individual cost of 600

For every other ant I don't as the hatch cost is small relative to the tile cost. Where as bullet ants hatch and tile cost is the same so it would be unfair to ignore it
