*WARNING* This game isn't _scary_ really, but there are calls that the main character has to deal with that involve someone in danger of getting unalived. Overall the game is more on the comedy side than the scary side, kinda like a 90s movie. Regardless, you can check their DtDD page for more details www.doesthedogdie.com/media/19770 Secret Sleepover Society is every Sunday & Wednesday at 9 pm ET www.twitch.tv/secretsleepoversociety
Honestly? I'd unironicly adore a latenight radio host sim like this, but play it 100% straight. Like you just dork around, play cool music, talk to npcs about whatever. Itd be great
As someone who really can’t do horror, I always love it when Jason and Julie undercut the scares by doing bits. It helps me manage. *scary man jump scares* Jacob: “oh he’s kinda hot”
nothing in this game is as terrifying as hearing Julia say “this game runs in real-time, to an extent” right at the start, and then watching as she proceeds to search every single pixel of the office for tapes when getting stuff to help the callers (all good, just nerve-wracking 😌)
When the car exploding came through the phone and Julia immediately played the Angels Choir Audio on the soundboard without a second thought, I genuinely let out a loud yelp, I wasn't ready for how perfect that timing was after Julia had said, "that's the music that's gonna happen when she passes away-" not even 3 minutes prior.
One of the many things I love about SSS is how they always manage to pick some weird, obscure games with perfect vibes. I got really invested in this one.
Maurice: "Good call! He hasn't searched that room yet! It sure would be bad if you sent him to a room he'd searched already!" Jacob and Julia: "Let's send him to this room he's already searched right next to this easily murderable old man." Jacob and Julia after Maurice gets murdered: "What the hell?"
turn on your radios, it's time to listen for trans rigs honking for cats! 24:26 just like joy 52:28 olive replaces jacob as co-host 55:57 miss olive wants that lap 1:11:01 cat tail action 1:16:19 making rounds and messing with tech 1:18:53 annoying olive become chair cat 1:23:55 wassup with olive 1:24:44 bye olive 1:26:24 leggie up with lil meow 1:27:10 how olive exits 1:32:21 olive wants ta play 1:40:19 chair cat 1:44:58 cats and meow chants 2:01:05 olive gets down
Jazz running is where you run on the platforms of your feet to reduce the bobbing motion to make it easier to play an instrument, but god knows if that's what the woman was referring to lol
dndads is my go-to background podcast at work and my kneejerk reaction to jacob saying "ive been listening to dungeons and daddies" was "oh? the rowdy horny violent podcast for grown-ups? content warnings can be found in the description?" perhaps i need to go back to naddpod for a bit just to give my brain a break
Jacob's talk about the reconstruction of mummy vocal cords reminds me of a clip out of a BBC documentary I heard where they got a voice actor to emulate the sound of a typical Neanderthal based on fossil records and it's literally some of the funniest shit I've ever heard
Me too. Although I think someone should let Julia know the solution to one case ahead of time because otherwise she might have to listen to a dog die and I know that's a big deal for her
In Marching Band anyways, a jazz run is a style of marching that you use when you're supposed to get to your spot faster than regular marching can get you there. I somehow doubt that's what this lady was talking about, but here's a video showing it anyways: ua-cam.com/users/shortsoajVgQA5M9g
This game is the prime example of “don’t kill the thing that makes you cringe, kill the thing inside you that cringes” and i don’t remember where I heard that but honestly I’ve been having a much better time on this earth after adopting that mentality
I'd love to see them play more games like this in the future, i.e. Not For Broadcast, What Remains of Edith Finch, My Friendly Neighbourhood, Firewatch, etc.
I recently watched Gabsmolders finish this game and it was GOOD. Literally the type of game Julia would love and I hope she finishes it in her own time
This game looks great! It really reminds me of the fiction podcast King Falls AM, which is also about a big-city radio host who moves to the middle of nowhere and finds himself surrounded by weird and creepy happenings
"Have Gotten the [object]" is a valid wording of syntax. It might be awkward, but it works. "Did Get" is also valid, yes, but both are available and usable in a sentence.
Hilariously I was trying to do my perturbed yeti scream after pausing between Jacob's & Julia's attempts & the sound I settled on was basically the sound Julia proceded to make more or less.
About the "I have", I think it's like: "Did you get the fax?" "Yes, I have [got the fax]." "Did you find anything useful?" "Yes, I have [found something useful]." I don't think that's a really common way of answering these questions; I agree that people usually match the enquiry. Although for the first one, people are more likely to drop the "have" and just say "Yes, I got it"... Far less awkward unless they're emphasizing they have it.
Was stoked to finally be able to catch one of these streams! It was also great to see so many people in chat being like PONTYPOOL?! because I am usually the only person who ever heard of that film. XD The warrior man even reminded me to feed my tarantula, who dispatched their bug with great discipline, lol. I too was mad about the silly newspaper guy- y'all were ROBBED on that one.
a few minutes after i started to watch this it started to hail, which was way scarier then anything could be. my windshield is cracked fyi- its ok the SSS vibes will protect me
I played this game through and I was so sure there would be an achievement for getting a certain number of paper balls into the basket so I kept rapid firing them while I played. I hit around 700 by the end of the game, and no achievement... I still think I'm the bucket master though
Video game: "Hey maybe this plan is a bad idea and you shouldn't send him to the kitchen." The Drawfees: "Pfft, what do you know?" That they'd given the wrong answer wasn't just signposted, it was laser-engraved into the surface of the moon.
The idea of someone who is even temporarily a 911 operator answering the phone “you’re live on *The Scream*” is both the funniest and worst thing I have ever heard
I thought the new Cradle book was coming in a month and so just last week started a full reread. Now it's out and i've got like a week to go before i can start it and i'm so excited. The series is so damn good.
I loved hearing Jason talk about Street Fighter 6. As a dude who has loved the Street Fighter series since SF2, it would really make my heart soar if the Drawf gang did something to celebrate SF6. Jason could do a muscley woman!
lmao i love how julia looked straight at the Final Breath record they were looking for and, had she not been distracted by cat photos half a second later she might have seen the record which is so relatable honestly. cat photos are more important than a record anyway lol
I got a book rec for Jacob on the seriously off chance he ever sees this: White Trash Warlock. The protagonist is gay, it's pretty fun, lots of talk about trauma...
You know, weirdly enough this game kind of reminds me of Firewatch. It's got different vibes of course, but something about the visual style and the characters talking to each other kind of reminded me. I wonder if thats just a coincidence, or if the creators of firewatch had anything to do with it? Probably just a coinky-dink!
Remember to watch the ads until they end or for at least 30 seconds (whichever comes first)! That way the channel will get the ad revenue, otherwise it doesn't get it.
Thank you for your support! As far as we know, if an ad showed up for the viewer it already counts for our monetized playbacks, so you don't need to sit through the entire ad. Regardless of that if you prefer to skip the ads immediately we don't mind. We are not here to min/max our revenue we just want to make fun content for people. -Khaztaroth
(guy who has only listened to king falls am) this game gave me big king falls fm vibes. I mean they mentioned an officer gunderson, that had to be a reference right?
11 months later, but yeah, feels like it has to be. After all, the entire setup, down to "disgraced big shot radio host from the big city now has to work in a seemingly inane but secretly very weird town, answer insane calls and solve a town-wide conspiracy linked to the mayoral campaign" feels just too close to be entirely unrelated.
*WARNING* This game isn't _scary_ really, but there are calls that the main character has to deal with that involve someone in danger of getting unalived. Absolutely 😭
The bit where Julia just pressed all the soundboard buttons to create a medley of noise was so classic Julia that I just burst out laughing 😆
As someone who really can’t do horror, I always love it when Jason and Julie undercut the scares by doing bits. It helps me manage.
*scary man jump scares*
Jacob: “oh he’s kinda hot”
agree. i feel like watching sss stream horror games is making me loose some of my scaredy-cat and recreant tendencies, perhaps :33
Same, it made me able to watch them play Bramble, for which I am glad because it's a beautiful game and I could never play it myself!
Woah, woah, woah. Are Jason and Julie... ???
I screamed at that part and immediately went into loud laughter 😂
i agree but also i do not think that was entirely a bit
maskman hot 👀
Peak SSS energy in this video. Unhinged Julia while Jacob encourages it while acting like it bothers him. 10/10

Can you guys get "Quick while she's gone what the fuck did that mean" on a shirt lol
One of the many things I love about SSS is how they always manage to pick some weird, obscure games with perfect vibes. I got really invested in this one.
How do they keep finding new ones?
The way they went right back to talking after Maurice was murdered on the air
Literally. It gave me actual tonal whiplash lol
@@MissMisnomer_ I guess it would be too much to ask for them to record a version of all the lines after that as if they had experienced a murder
I should stop scrolling comments when I haven't finished the video, damn now I know they don't save Maurice I'm in the middle of his call.
@@tabeatamm3594 I am so sorry that I spoiled you
@@tabeatamm3594 rip my dude, I have also fallen prey to this many times before
Always know its gonna be a banger stream when they lose it laughing in the first 60 seconds.
10:43 The complete lack of a delay between jumpscare to "Oh he's kinda hot👀" is why I love Jacob
As someone who used to work in a tiny radio station, this isn’t too different from where I used to work.
ShOOT You had whistling mans running around murdering people?!
It looks really nice for a town of 1000, I used to volunteer at the local radio for a town 18x the size and it was way smaller
@@swiftlymurmurs yeah I was going to say it’s way bigger than what I worked in LOL
Does that include being made into the emergency dispatcher and the serial killer on the loose?
Maurice: "Good call! He hasn't searched that room yet! It sure would be bad if you sent him to a room he'd searched already!"
Jacob and Julia: "Let's send him to this room he's already searched right next to this easily murderable old man."
Jacob and Julia after Maurice gets murdered: "What the hell?"
turn on your radios, it's time to listen for trans rigs honking for cats!
24:26 just like joy
52:28 olive replaces jacob as co-host
55:57 miss olive wants that lap
1:11:01 cat tail action
1:16:19 making rounds and messing with tech
1:18:53 annoying olive become chair cat
1:23:55 wassup with olive
1:24:44 bye olive
1:26:24 leggie up with lil meow
1:27:10 how olive exits
1:32:21 olive wants ta play
1:40:19 chair cat
1:44:58 cats and meow chants
2:01:05 olive gets down
Idk why but Forrest Nash intrigues me, I want to know what the scandal was that got him booted out of Chicago so badly, lul

Nothing like a bit of dragon pussy discourse to clean up your brain right?
Jacob's talk about the reconstruction of mummy vocal cords reminds me of a clip out of a BBC documentary I heard where they got a voice actor to emulate the sound of a typical Neanderthal based on fossil records and it's literally some of the funniest shit I've ever heard
20:30 That wasn't a perturbed yeti, that was a zombified Tim Allen
I’ve never been this early, hiya VOD watchers & happy pride month 💙
i hope they continue this game, its SO fun
Me too. Although I think someone should let Julia know the solution to one case ahead of time because otherwise she might have to listen to a dog die and I know that's a big deal for her
1:14:36 "Yes, I have gotten it" imperfect past tense for near past and habits
RadioSTATION? More like RadioJASON with a banger intro
I’ve never been scared by the horror aspect of the games they play but rather the chance that they might not be able to save everybody 😂
In Marching Band anyways, a jazz run is a style of marching that you use when you're supposed to get to your spot faster than regular marching can get you there. I somehow doubt that's what this lady was talking about, but here's a video showing it anyways: ua-cam.com/users/shortsoajVgQA5M9g
i went to my citys pride festival yesterday and i saw someone in drawfee pride merch! they had a very cute corgi with them as well!
Julia laughing is so contagious I always end up dying of laughter
Happy pride month y'all! It's so crazy to think that every single gay people has been born in the same month! 🏳️🌈💕
I really hope they’ll continue playing this game! I’m hooked on the story
i do sort of miss this old apartment, especially because you can hear the air traffic outside, right up my alley
This game is the prime example of “don’t kill the thing that makes you cringe, kill the thing inside you that cringes” and i don’t remember where I heard that but honestly I’ve been having a much better time on this earth after adopting that mentality
Brain rot nonsense (affectionate) right out the gate, let’s go! 😂
Brad sounds like a terrible person. Who breaks up with someone through a note and expects poor Barb to pay him five dollars for the festival tickets?!
Please please please play more of this game, you two make it so much fun!
I'd love to see them play more games like this in the future, i.e. Not For Broadcast, What Remains of Edith Finch, My Friendly Neighbourhood, Firewatch, etc.

Julia and I had the same perturbed yeti scream and I am so happy we function on the same wavelength.
The "perturbed yeti" bit around 20:28 is amazing.
Julia is just so happy in the beginning and it instantly improved my mood so much! (:
POV Tim Allen becoming self aware: 21:44
Hilariously I was trying to do my perturbed yeti scream after pausing between Jacob's & Julia's attempts & the sound I settled on was basically the sound Julia proceded to make more or less.

first time ive ever watched jacob read the subs. oh my god i love julia 😂😂😂😂
I love that the most replayed moment of this VOD is the ad break

Julia's chaotic playstyle triggers my anxiety 😂
Yammers and Jammers 💜
This intro is couples goals and also proves how hard it would be to do radio
I played this game through and I was so sure there would be an achievement for getting a certain number of paper balls into the basket so I kept rapid firing them while I played. I hit around 700 by the end of the game, and no achievement... I still think I'm the bucket master though
This was really fun, I hope we get to see the ending!
I love julia's style of playing it's so erradic
HIM IS RISEN!
Edit: HIMS'DRISEN!
God I love Jacob and Julia taking ten iconic seconds to classify a horror man as a Tumblr sexyman.
this stream made me start dndads so thank you jacob
Video game: "Hey maybe this plan is a bad idea and you shouldn't send him to the kitchen."
The Drawfees: "Pfft, what do you know?"
That they'd given the wrong answer wasn't just signposted, it was laser-engraved into the surface of the moon.
I'm a little disappointed that the whistling killer wasn't El Silbon taking a vacation up north.
1:14:44 Jacob's english major coming out
The idea of someone who is even temporarily a 911 operator answering the phone “you’re live on *The Scream*” is both the funniest and worst thing I have ever heard
I love the art style in this game
As soon as Jacob says Watch the interviewers blasted off like Club Low
The thumbnails never miss
Julia is one of the funniest people on earth istg

Dungeons and Daddies!? I love them so much. My circle grows even louder :)
44:57 Edward Marshall Mooney? Wonder if he's related to Marvin K. Mooney. Will you please go now?
I understood that reference and it is delightful 😂
after all the stuff they both say on this channel jacob being sheepish to admit that he might take a shit made me really laugh
Based on the description I was feeling Pontypool energy so the reference was seen and appreciated! Really loving this stream!
That was such an interesting movie
As an online psycholologist i diagnose julia with headfollofitis
As a 911 operator and police dispatcher, this game is making me full-body cringe. I hate it so much, but I can’t look away. 😂
The entire reporter section. I was shouting at the screen. HE HADNT CHECKED THE BOARDROOM SEND HIM THERE. Julia pleasse
The dog next door sounds like the whistling man. I thought my speakers were on. I could hear it outside of my headphones.
52:52 Olive literally pulled a villager from acnh
sss is the couple goal forever
U guys made me choked on my food by all the laughters i got
I love dungeons and daddies
julia plays games like she wants to play another game
Ooooh if you enjoyed this game then I hope you end up playing Stories Untold one day, I think you would really really enjoy it
This games premise is honestly so hyper specific and weird. How would someone think of this? Nonetheless, it was fun.
You know, weirdly enough this game kind of reminds me of Firewatch. I wonder if thats just a coincidence, or if the creators of firewatch had anything to do with it? Probably just a coinky-dink!
"Killer D'oh fu"???
I'm very confused
What a soundscape.
the murphy caller just sounded like Mr. Satan from dragon ball z and I'm loving it lol
I wish they played more episodes of this :(
52:28 kittyyyy
This feels like MST3K for games
yooo jacob looks so good here
If they get LEDs then they could do the bisexual lighting
Holy shit i said that before they said it lol
