My dog’s (and other things’) back legs always want to... lag behind. As though it’s been paralyzed. It’s a wee bit traumatic looking. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, because the ears and front legs are FINE! Never an issue. But the back ones always turn out weird and want to be close to perpendicular to the body. Any ideas what I’m messing up?
From your description, I think that perhaps you aren't inflating your balloons enough. If the balloon is soft and squishy when you are finishing the back legs, and you have to squeeze the balloon to distribute the air, I think that this might be the case. Two potential solutions: 1) inflate the balloon more in the beginning; or 2) don't worry about using all of the balloon. Make the back legs and just leave a short stubby tail that has thin remaining, barely inflated balloon. I hope that made sense. Good luck.
