      @@chaparralmotorsports got mine and I've been loving it! I wear a size large in street bike helmets, and I have a large in the Krios Pro. It feels a like they do run a smidge bigger, it could be more snug. But it's been a great helmet nonetheless, picked up a smoke lense since the transition lense gets spotty with the visor. Very good airflow into the helmet and when you get up past 65/70mph it can get a little unstable. But I like it on quick rips around the city and backroads. Quick strap is awesome. And it's just a super comfortable all day helmet.
      I'm riding a Husqvarna 701 SM.

      Our pleasure. At first glance at the price... it seems steep. But once you PICK IT UP and FEEL how dang light it is... and then learn about the protection it offers... and Pinlock and Transitions... and... the list goes on! Not having worn it yet on the road / trail, I am sold. Tune back in here in 6 months or so and I will give it a "long term review" after 100 days or more than 5k miles in the saddle. As for the chin curtain it's not just dust and debris it's bugs . I have had 2 get in so far with it in place but they were very abundant and skinny little bastards . Also the hinge cap can get a tad loose and whistle at 40mph , a design feature that should not happen on a helmet of this price . I take extremely good care of it and I found if I just press a little on the point that's out of alignment it fixes the problem so far . Others have mentioned this also with this helmet . That being said I Love this helmet and Klim will follow up when flu thing is settled down . If you have doubts forget about it , this thing is soooo comfortable and easy to use . It's a no brainer .

    Hey Kyle, nice review. I do have a couple of questions now that you’ve ridden with it for a while. What is the noise level as compared to the Neotec II or Schuberth helmets? Also, I know a lot of impacts go to the helmet sides. How far down the side of the helmet does the Koroyd cover? Thx! BTW, saw an old video of you when you must have worked for Adventure Designs in NorCal. 😄

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for your inquiry. I've about 4k miles on the Kiros Pro now... 85% of the helmet... makes it my new favorite helmet. There are some small things that knock it down a bit... It is louder than the Neotec or Schuberth helmets. The Koroyd comes down just about the top of the ears I believe... I will reach out to KLIM to conform. Yes, working at Adventure Designs was good times! If you attend their Octoberfest this weekend please say hello for me. -- Kyle

    Hello . Thanks for the video . How is the sizing. Compared to Arai . I wear a size Large on Arai on a tight fit

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  4 роки тому +1

      I find the fit to be a "little loose" compared to my Arai helmets. The main reason is this Krios PRO is more intermediate oval and it leaves more room on the sides than my Long Oval Arai helmets. The cheek pads on the KLIM are "SUPER SOFT" as compared to the dense form used in the Arai cheek pads. VERY different feeling helmets. That being said, I wear a small in both as I measure 56cm. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the excellent and extremely thorough review, Kyle. I have wanted to try a Krios helmet for some time, but none of the shops around here carry them. Can you tell me about fitment? I wear a large Bell MX 9 Adventure. Should I go for a large in the Krios Pro Arsenal or should I step down to a medium? I have read in comments that the Klim is sized a bit bigger than normal.

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 років тому +1

      Let me go try on a MX 9... and I will report back. I wear a Small in most helmets and I do wear a Small in this Krios Pro too. The cheek pads of this Krios Pro are "squishier" than most other helmets cheek pads. Moisture wicking / fast drying feature I am sure... Ok... I'll be back after a quick walk. - Kyle

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 років тому +2

      Okay... so they "fit the same" when it comes to sizing... but the Bell feels like it is "more round" than the Klim. I wear a Small in the Klim and would take a Small in the Bell... when I have the Bell on, I have more room on the sides of my head that don't touch the EPS liner and a hit more pressure or contact front and rear. I still would take the same size in each helmet. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

    Is it true that the Klim Krios Pro helmet has low workmanship and can therefore not be bought in Europe? Apparently Trasitions Lens does not work with the top visor and spots appear and the glass mechanism does not work properly.

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  4 роки тому

      Great questions... I am unsure the reasons the Krios Pro is not in Europe... but it is ECE rated. I run this helmet and LOVE It. I run it without the peak visor and I LOVE the transition lens, it is great. Any transition lens will act the same... if you block the UV... it will turn clear - thus the reason the peak makes spots on the lens (only in the up position). The mechanism works well, but the screws loosen over time and need to be adjusted and tightened often. The bummer is that a screw driver can not reach the fasteners in the positing you need the visor in in order to get the "perfect fit." This makes it a trial and error type of feeling. That being said the helmet is super light and flows so much air... it is way more comfortable than my other helmets. I have about 20k miles on mine at the moment. Here is my 2,500 mile review: ua-cam.com/video/0G90NvlB8h4/v-deo.html I should do a new one... after having been in it daily for nearly 8 months. Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

    Rando question, so I just got new scott goggles that do the transition deal. So the visor with this freaks out with the peak on? I currently don't have a real dual sport helmet for my 1090 I use an old Arai dirt helmet with scott goggles with the auto changing lens. I'm confused will my goggle lens handle the transition fine but the transition shield on the helmet wont? with the peak on? Also this helmet is out of stock everywhere on the planet that I looked...quite odd, did it get pulled?

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for your inquiry Jacksquatch. Transitions can be tricky. The shield on this helmet when in the up position sits right near the peak visor. It is then that the UV gets blocked by the visor in some spots - but not all. When the shield is then pulled down the shading / color across the shield is different and very distracting. Your goggles with transitions will not ever be placed up against the visor and therefore you will not have this problem. Regarding stock, we have select sizes and colors available, but the popular sizes are out of stock at KLIM at the moment thus causing the outages you have seen at dealerships. My Icon Variant from 2010 is my favorite fitting helmet (other than putting it on folds my ears over and i have to stick my hand in there to straighten my ears out every time ) but I cant use goggles with it.
