@@Dark3nedVoid If you check the stats on cosmic, yes the ones with longer duration do slightly more damage but not a lot more. If you take the total damage and divide it by the duration, the ones with a shorter duration have a much higher burst dps. It literally shows in the inspect of the character called “Ability DPS”. Extra bonus: shorter duration means the cooldown is technically shorter since they finish the cooldown earlier.
@@dynorix3278 in the acs server prople found the build that is the best for each champ, and longer ones are bettwr as mage, also think about it, even tho the “cd” is shorter cuz shorter ability, it also means that the champion is doing the ability for a shorter ammount of time, and since you want to prevent the champion to punch the least as possible, longer ults are better, but anyway the devs did a great job at balancing since any champ can be anything really, next to no difference. Also something to note is that the ability dps≠ability damage. So if a long ult champ has a higher ability dps it has a alot higher ability damage, making it alot better for burst

It’s more about the burst damage, cause he has such a low ability time it makes him do more dps in a small amount of time (good for bosses)
No because longer abilities will deal more damage so more burst damage, low ability duration units are always punch
