I'm sorry but as a survivor of abuse there's no amount of cash that would make me not pursue my claim legally.
The fact that this person could put a price tag on it seems duplicitous to me.

That is not how law works. We are innocent until proven otherwise beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. There was no ruling thus his innocence is maintained. The prosecution withdrew their case after the ex-girlfriend was questioned. She doesn't receive any money & he gets joint custody. The settlement covers court costs related to the trial.

No he did not settle to avoid admitting guilt. The settlement was connected to child custody and he finally won joint custody. There was no payment to accuser. She withdrew the charges because there was so much evidence of her lying if you read the German news summary of the first day of trial of the defense evidence. When it came time to testify she reported stopped her testimony and left court early. Then the next day of trial she withdrew the charges and agreed to joint custody finally because she was about to be exposed as a fraud. She was simply a gold digger who used a rich, young good looking athlete as a sugar daddy sperm donor, tried to keep their child from having a relationship with her father and finally lost that pursuit. Shame on her.

@@jerguskrc Yes, you don’t prove innocence in court, per se. Innocence is presumed (i.e-taken as already being true) & therefore needs to be disproven beyond a reasonable doubt or upheld in a court of law. There’s mere semantics & then there’s clarity in distinction.

This is the second incident he was accused of. For those saying they suspect she was lying, I can say that what we see is a potential pattern of behaviour by Zverev.

There's a lot of conjecture out there, so let's just stick to the facts.
The court case originally began as a protracted custody battle with his ex-girlfriend. She wanted full custody & he wanted joint custody. She then leveled abuse allegations against him. The court then issued a penalty order which carried a hefty fine & admission of guilt. He rejected this & appealed for a closed door criminal trial to protect their daughter. He was not required to attend in person. During the trial, the ex-girlfriend gets questioned. The prosecution swiftly withdraws their case. He is awarded joint custody. She gets no money. The settlement covers court fees related to requesting the trial & is £250K less than the original penalty order. There is no ruling either way, thus his innocence is maintained throughout. Case closed.
We are innocent. It is the burden of the prosecution to prove otherwise beyond reasonable doubt using different levels of scrutiny (legal term) depending on the nature of the case (civil, criminal, Constitutional, etc.) Courts do not award custody rights to men lightly. The fact that he got joint custody, didn't have to appear in court, didn't have to pay her any money, & the prosecution withdrew after questioning her says a lot. He requested the trial, so of course he has to pay for those legal costs regardless of outcome.
You can't control what other people decide to do, only your response. He responded to the allegations by trusting the legal system to sort it out. Public opinion is not the same thing as due process. Recommended reading: The Oresteia. Law moves from a Chthonic form of justice to an Oronic one with dispassionate law eclipsing the emotion-based, retributive nature of The Furies. A classic from Greek antiquity essential to the legal system of the West.

The court's pecuniary penalty order was not a final verdict. An admission of guilt would've only been possible if he accepted the preliminary decision. Instead, a closed door criminal trial was held and the case against him was later withdrawn by the prosecution before cross-examination began. A settlement to pay court costs was reached and his innocence was maintained throughout the legal process.

I'm sorry but if you can put a price on your suffering and your pain as an abuse survivor then I question the legitimacy of the abuse.
Someone with integrity would not cash out she didn't do it for his benefit so that means the number was high enough that she could be bought.
I have a problem with that.

As someone who was raped repeatedly as a child and this was an alleged strangulation,
People wanting to throw Sasha to the wolves I'm sorry because he had an outburst on the tennis court doesn't make him an abuser.
The only people that know the truth are the two people involved and the fact that she was able to cash out to me ruins her credibility not his.

From what insiders say, Zverev's ex latched on to him early when his star began to rise. She issued her claim suddenly after he broke up with her and they were in a custody battle. Any expert will tell you that this is the number one scenario where false allegations are made between ex partners. Cross examination is the must truth determining part in any trial and she bailed at the time when she was going to be cross examined. That screams of someone who is lying. Zverev challenged the ruling and put himself at risk of prison time all in order to prove his innocence. He won in that the judgement against him was lifted and he didn't pay a dime to the [ex] in that regard. Infer what you will from these facts. Good luck in the finals Sascha!

    • @maximilian2974

Or he paid the guilty judgment from last year because he knew he was going to be found guilty. This is 2 women BTW that accused him. I guess you've never heard of a pattern.

    • @Peace2humankind
      @Peace2humankind 16 днів тому +1

@@maximilian2974 that judgement (without his participation) was NOT a settlement, and it was for 400k. He never paid a dime of that and this whole proceeding was him challenging that. He only paid for court fees and child stuff. Right when the ex was going to be cross examined (which is the most truth determining process) SHE decided to quit the case. That speaks volumes. As far as your 2 girlfriend stuff, we as a society know how those numbers work, it's so fake and all of a sudden. They all accuse after another bc it helps each of their plots. Blood sucking lawyers help coordinate this, obviously. Why don't we go and ask all the ex bfs of these women about them, and let's see how the numbers work then.
