Just a tip... when running ANY sub, use BOTH inputs... you will notice that you get a LOT more output when using both inputs. Buy yourself a couple pairs of xlr "y" splitters to be able to use both inputs fed from a single xlr cable. Also, with ty these subs, since they're only 12", the best way to maximize them is to use them coupled, either directly side by side, or one on top of the other. In your video, I noticed that you had them on either side of your table.... if you would have coupled them under, or in front of the table, you would have noticed a fairly substantial gain in output. I have a pair of these that I have had about seven years now, and they are my go to subs for small to medium events up to about 100 to 125 people depending on the type of music.
If you do repurchase these subs, try the tips I gave you, with these, or ANY subs, and leave a reply as to how much difference you notice in the overall performance.

Gcm Productions how did it sound with live music? I want to use them for our 100 person retreat chapel

I got a couple JBL Partybox 100's for camping/house party type stuff paired with a Pioneer XDJ-RX2. I like to play really bass heavy music though and was considering adding something small and portable to go with them. You think it would serve that purpose well? I'm between this or the Alto TX212S that's the same price and weight. I mostly DJ house/ghouse/tech house/hip hop/LoFi type music. Thanks!

@@nick99bottomley a smaller setup I believe they would fit that purpose quite well , they do sound pretty good just dont expect chest pounding bass

@@gcmproductions3499 Ok that sounds perfect. In most scenarios people will be pretty closely located to it as well. I just don't want a huge 15/18" 100# beast to lug around to that kind of stuff... kind of why I got the PartyBoxes instead of a more traditional PA speaker

Thanks for the review! I've ordered one of the B1200D's to supplement a couple of 12" satellite speakers when playing small venues with a four piece band. By your comments it appears this sub should be sufficient to bring out the kick and bass enough to round out the sound. Just want to hear more low end in the mix but don't need to feel it.

They most definitely will handle a medium venue. Not exactly heavy with the punch you'd want, but it will handle a good size room.

Thanks for the review brother. I have the same EV’s that you have. I’m in the same dilemma, I have 1 behringer 12inch powered subwoofer. I’m just unsure if I should get another one or go with an 18inch subwoofer👍🏽
