I too suffer from adhd. it's so frustrating. I'm currently fighting the decision to get on Adderall as well. Trying some holistic methods before I resort to the druuuugs. Mostly this includes taking different supplements and doing other random stuff that I've seen people discuss on tik tok and reddit. It's unfortunate because I feel like the adhd plays such a huge part in who I am as a person, but it's a real struggle to accomplish anything worthwhile aswell as perform up to society's standard. I feel as though age is playing a part in my symptoms worsening aswell as my responsibilities are compounding. I hope you can find a better alternative to the meds as I have only heard not great things about Adderall aswell. We suffer in silence so I appreciate hearing your experiences. I think its so much more widespread than people realize. Good luck Kim❤

It's very hard to be up and out all night and I think they really have to stay after their set, no matter how late, to network and hang out with other comics that might put them on. Plus starting out, you'll need another job too, to pay your bills and now also add in podcasts, auditions, maybe doing primos, skits.... Pffft I'd not survive that all. working whatever shifts, and gigs, then out til 4am most of the time. That's gonna send most people into a "quick fix" solution. Quick fixes are no good. It's also always right there and available.

I agree. I started Adderall for my own adhd after my son was diagnosed. I didn't want to give it to him without trying it myself first (he's 8 at the time) and holy hell!!! I've done drugs in my life but THAT was the hardest drug I ever did.
