I like the Rogue One hallway scene because, while there are narrative problems like you mentioned, it's really the only time we get to see peak Vader. He is a relentless, unstoppable, brutal symbol of the Empire's might that scene is the best representation of his purpose to the Emperor and the Empire as a whole. Vader exists to spread terror and kill the enemies of the Empire, and the hallway scene is the perfect encapsulation of his character not as we, the audience know him, but as the citizens of the galaxy do.
The thing about Jedi just cutting people down is feeling weird is because it runs counter to what Obi Wan and Yoda taught in the original trilogy, the image of the Jedi as badass slicing and dicing warriors was warped by their portrayal in the prequels, but what a lot of people (kids especially) miss is that the Jedi in the prequels are supposed to be wrong, which is why they get wiped out I could go on but I’d probably never stop (I have a lot of strong opinions on Star Wars and the way people view and discuss it) Also the best battlefront map is the Christmas one where you can be Santa with a light candy cane and all the blasters shoot snowballs and it plays Christmas music in the background That *might* be a mod but I’m pretty sure it isn’t
Around the time Rouge One came out it was 4th June/July (whichever the American holiday is), and the company I worked for bought us tickets to watch it together (during the day). I went in with 0 expectations, but I remember it being pretty good. Also no work for like 3 hours so I have a very positive association with Rouge One.

honestly the only thing i've got off of Black series is a phase 2 clone trooper. like not even a captain rex or even a 501st legion trooper just a plain white clone trooper it's pretty cool, he came with both the DC15c and DC15a blasters and the figure looks nice

Nice to know you're a Rhen Var Citadel enjoyer. The BF2 DLC version with that gloomy atmosphere has to be one of my favourite shooter maps of all time.
Mace vs Palpatine is lame in the movie because Lucas decided at the last minute that he wanted to have a lot of closeups of their faces so they couldn't do the original plan of using mainly stunt doubles, and that gave Jackson and McDiarmid not a lot of time to learn the choreography.
Hard agree with the jedi slaughter of enlisted stormtroopers followed by marvel banter. It's narrative dissonance, doesent match the character's personality nor the general tone for a straight laced hero's story. The character would have to, imo, atleast be a scoundrel for that to come off plausible. That's why it works with edgier or morally questionable characters and not a boy scout like Kal Kestus.
Pretty sure a red vs blue type stormtrooper would not be difficult to be convinced by a Jedi to change his ways. The reason it feels weird to have Jedi kill people maybe because you got used the joking way stormtroopers are portrayed as incompetent, bumbling buffoons, instead of stalwart soldiers of the Empire. And I think you would like Kyle Katarn.
I like Rogue One and Andor, but I think the hallway scene is bad and I miss Kyle Katarn too, but I think it’s a pretty solid Battlefront style movie and the show has a Burn Notice style of storytelling and I appreciate it
Rogue One iš cool. The first part iš meh, būt the second part iš Star Wars Vietnam, and who doesn't like that. The hallway scene is pure Sith terror. He doesn't need stormtroopers, he is like a hunter searching for his preys, and the chase ends not because the door os closed, but because the whole ship scaped.
I dont really care about the logistics of the hallway scene (force levels, stormtrooper support, etc.) but it's obvious the scene is shot to look "cool," and after spending the whole movie fighting the empire just to have vader murder our freedom fighters and have it be portrayed as cool, just tonally feels weird and wrong, like the pearl harbor scene from the michael bay movie.
