Mamaw would have loved this. I'm Eileen Greger Halfmann's grandson number 2. I remember it being played in Olfen, Wall, and Rowena as a kid. Aunt Mabel told me about this Waltz.
Great to see Rodney Smith with Billy's band. Met him a long time ago, when he and my wife were fiddlers on an episode of a western swing TV show in Claremore, OK, then came across him again in 2010, when he was part of the San Antonio Rose stage show at the Aztec Theater in San Antonio.
please give Rodney time. he’s only played a few gigs with the band, hired just before COVID hit. I’m sure he’ll blossom and gel with the boys as time goes on 😉
This is a beautiful tune. Drags my heart to the town I was born in, Killeen, Texas. Song makes me plum lonesome.
Cameron girl here lonesome stuck in Az

Richard retired per his desire to, he didn’t want to travel anymore. Why be mean?
