As a Munster fan, I have to admit that was a fantastic effort by Ulster with 14 men for 50 minutes. They were pretty unlucky to not win it in the end. On the Munster side, scintillating backline play especially by Farrell. But so much indiscipline and silly unforced errors. Should give them some credit for pulling it out of the fire, albeit a bit of luck played a part too
Werner Koks stats must be insane, constantly involved. He's hitting more rucks than the flankers and was there to either make the last tackle as Muster scored or when Ulster scored he was latched and driving over. Ulster might do well to make note of his workrate and maybe try get the ball out to his wing rather than endless pick and goes.
Farrel is a great signing for Munster. Not farvoff the Irish team a few years back. He might grt in the training squad agter that game. Ulster have some serious players coming through
I watched this match live and couldn't understand how Nash's pass for the 1st try wasn't called forward. Ulster though, yet again just can't defend. They had this win sown up. But teams go thtough them too easily.
Anyone have a picture of the hit on Kok with the last kickoff before Munster score the winning try, looked like a high tackle, but they did not show it again, why not? Great match by Kok, should have been man of the match.
Are you joking! Kok was terrible, wild off feat diving into tackles. Luckily, he wasn't yellow carded for tackling a man in the air. The only reason he got away with it was because Crowly had a raised boot so he let both go.
Munster backline were superb today. Good to see Jack pulling the strings inside, taking the ball to the line, bossing the shape of the backline and creating that space out wide. Needs to have a good chat with his kicking tee though. Forwards left a bit to be desired i reckon. So many breakdowns left unprotected after getting forward momentum. Some of them smack bang in the middle of the park. Ulster forwards were physically dominant in attack and kept them in it. Defence out wide was poor though. Get that defence sorted and an injection from the forces of Hendy, Balacoune and Izzy.....and that unreal bench impact they had today and they'll be right up there.
Ulster are a bit of a backet case at the best of times. Great performances one week followed by dire turge the next. But this season things have been worse than normal. New coach is not working out too well.
Ulster lost that game at the red card, although they didn't lie down! For Munster to win by 3 points against what lots of people on social media are calling Ulster "an awful team" with "no attack" and "a shocking defence" doesn't make Munster look great really! They only had to beat 14 men and had 50 mins to manage it?! Crowley had a poor enough game for an international 10. A few of the young Ulster lads had good games, McNabney probably had his best outing so far.
The sending off was harsh but Ulster did really well considering. Scot Wilson was pretty good. Harry Sheridan, Postlethwaite are all extremely promising. But anytime Munster put the foot down and went forward they seemed to score with ease.
Awful game, primarily due to this game featuring the worst refereeing performance ever. Ulster caught slacking loads and Munster took advantage of them. Could someone please explain why the ref would stop and go back for a penalty when Ulster are within 5 meters of scoring a try. In that moment it should be a penalty try. Also, O'Toole's red is maybe too harsh but was definitely a yellow. And Munster's 12 makes a high tackle initially which is of course ignored. As well at the end, there is a possible forward pass and the majority of Ravenhill is shouting "TMO, TMO, TMO!" at the ref and the refs were booed off at FT which is something I never thought I'd see in rugby. At the end of the day, not completely awful from Ulster but still desperately need to improve otherwise Richie Murphy may have to go, Munster hats off to you no matter the result you've always had my respect particularly since the 2016 Final, and lastly this ref needs to be sacked.
The reffing was so frustrating to watch. Loads of missed calls on both sides. Munster definitely got a bit lucky in places. Ulster try near the end was preceeded by a clear movement on the ground as well not to take away from the Ulster pack which bullied us up front
I’m not Irish so don’t care who won but can someone explain why there wasn’t a restart after the Munster last try. The try was scored with one minute and 52 seconds remaining on the clock. I thought there was a time limit now on conversions
I was at the match. Yes there is a time limit on conversions, shown by a red number counting down the seconds on the stadium match time clock. Munster had enough kick time to wait and complete the kick after the match time showed 80 minutes. So game was indeed over.
@JayM-wg7dd well a wi is a win. A soft red card? Would you still say that if he broke his leg? No mitigation, high level of danger. Someday you try play 1 game of rugby and you will see why this is a warrant red.
Is the player clearing out suppose to know how someones leg is positioned in a split second, even thinking about it now, a yellow card is probably harsh
Stuck his leg out? Have you ever played the game? Where should he have put it? Only a tackle from the side would have put force through it. Silly comment
There are more passengers in this Munster pack than 2 Titanics. I won't mention names though Fineen 'powder puff' Wicherley and Jack headless chicken penalty machine O'Donoghue should have a rethink if rugby is the right career for them. Fatally underpowered unit.
100% red card. As the referee himself said, "clear directive on that at the moment" yet you feel the need to blame him for allegedly making the wrong decision? He's just doing what he is told to do.
Luckily we have 1 ulster support pick that up while everyone else who watched and was at the game missed it. You should probably send a strongly worded email to have the score changed.😂
Jack Crowley with 1 conversion out of 4… barely involved in all 4 tries. But yet some in the Irish media and certain parts of the country think he’s the man to lead Ireland in 2027 World Cup because what? He was sextons back up for 1.5 years?
who are you talking about mate? no one is saying that. Maybe luke fitzgerald ironically. But everyone else is talking about how its great to have competition in the position. IT IS NOT GOOD to have only one guy nailed on. we have been exposed in 3 world cups back to back to back because of that! So cop on! Now as for Crowley here. Yep very bad off the tee. Shocker in fact. But a great shift in defense it has to be said! AND BTW im from leinster. But when we are talking about IRELAND that jersey is GREEN. not RED not BLUE its all of us! So cop on ur self or go watch soccer with that nasty attitude!
Kok should be dropped after that performance. Off feet diving challenges all game, wrong positioning for 2 tries, and completely turned inside out for the last try. Awful player

Ulster should have won, weak attack from Ulster.

@@lochlainnmckenzie5569 I just told you.

I don’t think the stops moving through any game. Unreal. He was here at Toulouse a few years back as a medical joker, great guy, ball of energy.
Thought he was immense again 💪💪
Yes: a brilliant team player.
How did they not try a drop goal before half time? Ulster aren't gonna start winning until they start to play smart rugby and take every chance.
Farrel is a great signing for Munster. Not farvoff the Irish team a few years back. He might grt in the training squad agter that game. Ulster have some serious players coming through
Slow down Dave you're too excited you're typing too quick
I'm used to seeing Munster getting nothing off a ref but thought ref was very poor against Ulster last night as a Munster fan
1:52 why didn't he go for a drop kick instead of punting the ball out?
I watched this match live and couldn't understand how Nash's pass for the 1st try wasn't called forward. Ulster though, yet again just can't defend. They had this win sown up. But teams go thtough them too easily.
on looking at the highlights I'd agree with you.
I’d seen that too at the time and thought the pass was forward!
It was Daly and not Nash but agree 💯 with you .
Thought that might have been a blow out watching the first minute or so of that but the last minute was a thriller. Top marks to the editor too

Any chance of at least describing Munster's first half try? Presumably Farrell scored it.
Two years in a row Munster beat Ulster in the final minutes up in ravenhill
Ulster are a bit of a backet case at the best of times. Great performances one week followed by dire turge the next. But this season things have been worse than normal. New coach is not working out too well.
Give them time

Cracking game.

I couldn't believe when after multiple infringements, instead of reaching for the card, he just gives a warning: there should be more consistency.
@@houndofzoltan yeah I really don't rate Ben Whitehouse at all. Feels like he doesn't have the respect of the players either

Why was the first Munster try skipped?
The defence was horrific
Kicking the ball out at half time in the opposition half was the stand out moment, unforgivable.
So bascially Munster remain Ireland's 2nd best province then what an achievement 👏
If you think that performance warrants that tag after having a man advantage for 50mins to a soft red and still nearly losing then ok.

Tom Farrell 👏👏👏
scored on 78:09 kicks on 80:05
Tough call on the red. Looked like the guy stuck his leg out in an awkward position - any type of tackle wouldve put force through it.
Yellow all day.
As a munster fan, only a yellow for me, that red is completely ridiculous, ruined the game completely

That's the worst refereeing performance I've seen in many a year. What a sham
Munster 1st try was a mile forward....IRB officials watching to much NFL games.
First Munster try couldn't have been more forward...
How many players did Ulster have sent off this time ??
As you most likely missed the game and the highlights I can tell you. It was 1.
Really poor discipline
First munster try for sure forward pass ,poor refereeing

Excellent refereeing on the red, unnecessary cheap shot or stupid error, could’ve been serious injury
Ulster came close
Otoole is to answer for ulster's loss
Munster didn't deserve to win it , very average for large parts of the game
