Portable unit they gave me here only got it down to 87 and my AC stayed broken longer than a month. Never ever ever move into a complex managed by MEB.
It doesn't matter who owns the apartments. These landlords are pieces of 💩. People should have decent living conditions. Our governor needs to put in laws to prevent this.
When Ducey was governor the citizens had protections for this stuff and things in place when it's over 100 degrees. Like Electric companies can't cut people's power. We have had different leadership and the House and Senate for AZ is pretty well divided. Only like one or two republican advantage in the House and Senate. However the upper leadership is all Democrats including the AG. So why didn't the AG or Distract Attorney put these people in hotels like the law states if the property can't supply something to cool the apartments or hones rented out the renting agencies need to legally supply and pay for their hotel rooms for each tenant until they get the AC fixed.
@paulfeasal6024 those regulations still exist but Ducey made it where it has to be 10 consecutive days of 100 plus degrees before the law can interfere. He made it easier for landlords to evict residents. The Arizona legislation is controlled by Republicans.
Thanks AG most of the apartments on section 8 & voucher program refuse healthy temperatures. Their tenants are scared to complain! Failure of community services “case managers” refuse to stop abuse & assist in retaliation tactic that perpetuate the problems.
Tenants don't complain cause the owner has his own lawyer, judge, witnesses and will evict them immediately cause they don't know it's illegal for the owner to do that.

The maintenance men harass women like most vulnerable people family blame victims so even sexual harassment is acceptable. Going after anyone vulnerable no police report taken, no investigation & help from Arizona health department anything goes to make sure stress, time will eat up any opportunity to manage a soft financial landing. Artificially increasing cost methadone cause a huge increase working addicts to not work, then ultimately on street either before or after incarceration. Housing/renting has done the same with the end result in none addict individual having to keep up with the prices Arizona state will pay. It over extends full time workers cannot afford what our wasteful leader will pay. They have taken to kidnapping. Native Americans are the only ones caring about their vulnerable family members. @bswogger4656 Because of the temperatures outside the AG could get involved after 5 days. I have not had this type of stuff happen to me, but had a neighbor that did. His AC flooded his hole apartment. My AC was leaking pretty bad for a good amount of time so was looking stuff up. The knowledge is hard to go out and get. There's a series of steps the tenants legally have to take before the AG can do anything too.

It is like what you might seen in a prison cell block with a shot caller decided is you will even be safe! Not any government agency city state county or federal, none for profit or private entities will honor contract or the law! Doctor prescribe medication near die, heart hospital saved my life then anyone who wants to waste their time can direct my medical care without the doctor ever addressing the medical emergency anaphylaxis. Very sad. Missed out on 15 years of my life sick from office staff, instance insurance company diverting from need medical treatments! Assaulted after a car accident so receptionist.
With the cost of rent here there should be a lot more laws on renting to protect tenants in multiple ways I could go on and on with what is wrong with Arizona housing
From my personal experience i think that this place is straight possessed. The things I've experienced in building C could match the movie the exorcist. I'm not joking either. First thing i noticed is EVERYTHING IN THAT PLACE BREAKS DOWN. I'm almost 99% certain this is the cause for the a/c problems. Also management acting rude ect.
Landlords that dont improve peoples lives shouldn't be able to rent. Oh and poor people shouldnt be able to be a landlord. I shouldn't be forced to pay for my own rental repairs and it come from my rent. If i dont have hot water my landlord shouldnt be able to say deal with it. Move out or sue me....
That's wonderful I am so happy for you for being homeless, however, not all of us aspire to be losers so you must understand that there are some people who work for a living and pay actual rent and they do so with the specific intention of not living in constant misery.

Not sure about this one but I can tell you MEB is a HORRIBLE management company because I had this same problem and took them way longer to fix

Use a big portable swamp cooler. Go to home depot! I’ve been out an AC 3 weeks. It’s sucks but in ca, landlord not required to provide AC.
