Finally normalisation of the volume. It's the best thing since sliced bread. I get that other amp sims are trying to meticuously recreate how an amp would react in real life. But this is such a useful feature. It should be included as an option on all other amp sims. Just let me choose (I'll choose normalisation on most days). Stage mode is also a winner! I'd like to have a chorus on there and maybe a graphic EQ but then it could become a go to plugin. I love the simple user interface.
Hi, we're glad you find the constant loudness useful! We plan to improve PRIMO with additional effects and features in the following months, and a chorus could certainly be in a future update, no spoilers for now🤫
@@apfx_audio I'll definitely give your plugin a spin. I like the no nonsense approach and look forward to more updates! Even just modulating the delay could go a long way. Chorus / detune (like tricerachorus) would make it my go to plugin probably. I love the live pedalboard feature.
Just learned about the "guitar for future" initiative from these guys on their website: for each copy of the plugin sold they plant a new tree. Hats off to these mad lads!
Normally I gravitate to the filthier tones, but I found myself really drawn to the cleans here. Not that the dirt was bad. And the UI was certainly interesting. Nice demo as usual. Thanks.
I'll definitely be checking this out. I'm particularly interested in the UI and how it supposedly adapts to your screen size. With the availability of micro PCs and with appropriate MIDI control, Primo and similar products can be used on stage to replace what is basically a PC in hardware multi-effect pedals. The hurdle can be the size of the monitor and keeping all the necessary peripherals in a a tidy configuration. Just have to keep auto updates turned off!😅
I certainly understand why so much guitar gear goes the simple route of gain and volume controls just being simple pots in the circuit, but I’ve always wondered why there aren’t more options that go this route and give you higher-level “dirt” and “level” knobs that adjust gain and volume together. That alone is enough for me to give this a deeper look than the competition. And, yeah, the UI layout and design generally seems better thought out too.
Man, UA-cam stopped notifying me about new content from you. I admit I have been busy and thought maybe you were taking a break. I decided this morning to see what’s up and I have missed the last 7 videos. Anyway, thanks for keeping up the content.👍
Hey brother.. I missed your video yesterday which sucks, but I was running late for work. Actually I had to start early and almost forgot.. I made it though! I love the interface.. Nice and simple and to the point.. I used to work with UI back in the day for business applications and was over some fresh out of college guys and I used to tell them, don't make people think. They've got enough to think about already.. Make it easy to use, and don't try to impress them with all the little cool nerd things you can do with code.. Engineers love that stuff.. 😛 I didn't have a college education, but I didn't let that stop me from learning.. Nothing against college, except it taught being too software / write tight code. In business you throw hardware and software at the problem because you have to get to market before the other guy! That software is very cool.. I don't use AMP sims.. I guess I'm just too old.. I might have to try one though.. It sounds great, but I suspect you could play thru a 1970's transistor radio and sound good with your chops brother! Off to help my girl today.. Weather is great lately man.. Be well sir and be safe! Hope you and your family are well my friend. Tim
Listening on my iPad at low volume and this sounds good still! Definitely going to check out the demo version of this! Thanks Mr Todd and APFX Primo 😀👍
Love the simplistic UI (not a fan of realistic looking ones, especially when they take up too much screen space - Ampbox, I'm looking at you!) and it sounds really good for the price.
i dont know man. its obviously a cool plug-in, but i don't see/hear anything special or unique about it. we're at the point where AI is just a marketing term-everything is AI and the products are just...OK
APFX have a free trial of PRIMO here - apfxaudio.com/products/primo
That compression with channel 2 gain...sounds great...I'm still blown away that we can run guitars into computers 😂 now I'm outta my cave.
What next, being able to take a telephone out of the house?! :p

Such a great demo! Clear and detailed description, amazing playing and that PRS 🥵...
Thank you Leon!
My pleasure! Great to see a new company hit the ground running. i look forward to more of these.

Legends!
Thank you!
I have seen most of your videos, but whatever you improved in this video was amazing.
Wow, thanks!

Love the UI. Will definitely try the free demo when I have some time over!

Definitely an option to play live! We are one of the lightest products on the market so a micro PCs should run PRIMO without any problems
Looks pretty cool. Nice and simple UI. Great demo

Some tasty lead tones 👌

Thanks mate. Some fun stuff this week!

Thinking is hard. Take it easy and have a great Sunday my man!
@@LeonTodd Thank you brother.. You too man!
Seems like a cool quick way to have a ready to go guitar sound without lots of gear. Seemed like it has decent dynamics. I would drop $20 on it.
Listening on my iPad at low volume and this sounds good still! Definitely going to check out the demo version of this! Thanks Mr Todd and APFX Primo 😀👍
Hope you enjoy it!
That's a big compliment! We have to point out that Leon's guitar skills definitely made PRIMO shine

Yeah it's built for a computer which is great
Is this a standalone product or what program runs it? Im new to these type of guitar tools. Great demo LT and awesome jamming!
You can run it in standalone mode on your computer or you can load it in your DAW as a plugin.
@@LeonTodd thanks Leon! Appreciate it
The normalized output volume is an option i wish was on my fm9
❤
Seem be that you liked ADA MP1.....
is that riff of little jack horny ? 😆😆 i want to hear more! , thanks for useful review , leon🤘🤘
Stop AI !

Believe me: sound more better of more other plugin... just need to know how use it. I am totally agree that AI is used just for commercial sell
