Redbank Gorge is a great place to swim through on inflated tubes in the warmer months 😂, with green/red tree frogs clinging to the rock walls. Also climbed up to the top of Mt. Zeil through spinifex grass, via Narwietooma station, as we were members of the Alice Springs Field Naturalists Club.
Another cracking video Nigel & Sue.... The scenery looks amazing in particular the incredible red centre colours. Pity about the darn heater part. I'd love to see you guys with a big laminated map of Oz showing your travels on it with a marker.... You could even add where you intend going. Thanks again. 👍
That’s a great idea! Thanks Peter. We are a couple of weeks behind with our Videos, as we had a lot of content from Central Australia. We will try to get that happening for the top end and over to the west .
How lovely to see some of those sights from Larapinta a few years ago. By far the best view (IMHO) is from Counts Point but the view over the Serpentine is pretty damn good too! What really amazed me was the amount of flora along the Larapinta. And we found those Macrozamias growing out of cliffs high up!
Yeah it would be brutal! A lot of the hikes close after 9 or 11am on hot days and there are a lot of warning signs around about the dangers of the heat
Greater Stick Nest rats were rediscovered in a remote part near Mt Sonder, their nests are built upon each generation over hundreds of years. If you want to explore further north east of Alice Springs, head towards the hartz ranges, heading north to Boxhole meteor crater then east to the Dulcie Ranges proceeding to the old Huckita station.
Oh! Magnificent! I was so surprised to see StanDley’s Chasm. I always thought it was Stanley’s Chasm so I learned something today! It is a lot more touristy since we visited in around 2006 ish but just as gorgeous. It is one of those places I plan on re-visiting Simpson Gap and Standley’s Chasm….. did you feel like you were walking in a Namatjira painting? If possible could you film a little of the country while you are driving? it is so spectacular. Thanks for another great video🦋 Happy travels and stay safe
Thanks Catherine, yes it has changed a lot since the traditional owners took over management - they now charge visitors for access. Pretty sure we have a lot more of the countryside in the upcoming videos. We were having a few camera issues during this one.
Thanks for the great reminder about bush etiquette i.e., burn your used toilet paper (or take it with you if you can't burn it). Awesome video as per usual ❤ Thanks!
Some fantastic scenery. Just beautiful. I’m looking forward to you guys getting your heater fixed too. I know just how cold it would be. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
@@nigelandsueadventures that’s a bit frustrating. I guess you’ve managed. You’ll leave and get too far away and then it will turn up in Alice Springs! Safe travels. 🤗
With great difficulty!! We actually bought valve extenders. Often it’s a two person job as Nigel holds the pump hose onto the valve and Sue operates the pump.
@@nigelandsueadventures thankyou so much for getting back to me. You guys are inspirational and my favourite youtubers. Was contemplating taking them off to pump up. Do you have any videos with your valve extenders in. I haven't pumped my rear tyres up since I got the van.
We will add it to an upcoming video for sure. Our videos are about 4 weeks behind real time right now. Maybe we can do a UA-cam Short video sometime this week to demonstrate.
@@nigelandsueadventures you guys are awesome. You inspired me to start my own channel. So now im learning video making as well as van building. You guys rock. Thankyou

So so great! Catching up on your videos now. Nice to feel like we’re still on an adventure through your videos 😀 looks wonderful! Great filming too
Thanks lovely! Hope you’re doing well too!
Oodles of Awesomeness
Thanks Sally 🧡

Yeah we saw so many wildflowers all over the Red Centre. Especially around Kata Tjuta. Thanks for watching Jules 😀
I love that Nigel's beanie happens to match his hi-vis shirt. 😁
Haha, yea and the colour of the red dirt!
It’s been hot here so nice to see you all in winter. Can’t imagine doing some of these hikes in high summer though. Beautiful country.

Rockin' it once again! 👍👍
Thanks Annette!
Still looks a bit cold there guys. Absolutely love that part of Australia
It’s amazing isn’t it? We have really enjoyed our time in the Red Centre.

I cant seem to get to the valves.
