This is not a song! This is a work of art! A lyrical masterpiece! This is a statement! NMIXX literally telling all the haters: Call us strange, call us weirdos, call us whatever you want, but we will stay true to who we are. You want us to follow the trends? You want box us in? No thanks! We'll erase that box! This true artistry at its finest! True artists are suppose to be different, they're meant to stick out, they don't conform to the trends and expectations of others. I started to find the music industry, especially KPOP to have become boring these recent years. Everything has become so formulaic, everyone trying to follow the trends, artists whose music all sound the same. NMIXX has become a refuge to those who have become weary of the uniformity, and the monotony. There are very few artists nowadays who stay true to their sound and identity, the likes of SKZ, AESPA, TWICE, and XG to name a few. But to me, NMIXX just hits home. To me they are epitomy of true and resilient artists. Regardless of all the hate, these girls are breaking the very walls that trying to contain them, as a matter of fact, the more they're told to go this way, the stronger they pull back and go the other. Tell them to stop with their MIXXPOP, they'll MIXX and POP even more. Btw, shout out to all the producers and lyricists for this track! This is the cleanest MIXXPOP they've ever done!

The extended chorus has lyrics that go like, "우린 we we we we 위로 위로 더 (Urin we, we, we, we, wiro wiro deo)" which sounds like "We are weird." in Konglish. The lyricist is really cooking about being 별별별(weirdo).

Yezz we love different, we stand to the unique one not the trend one. That's why I love nmixx so much.
I've always liked NMIXX, but after seeing them at BST Hyde Park in London (same day as Skz), I've grown to appreciate them more. Their live vocals are really outstanding, and they are definitely a group I'd be willing to see live again. They are a sleeped on group (I am part of the problem) and they have quite a few different than the normal girl group songs (I am still in love with their Young, Dumb, Stupid song lol). I have a harder time getting into girl groups, though, so yeah, I'm still working on that. 🙃

I love how you explained and translated the lyrics. NMIXX is like Stray Kids, they weren't like anything seen or heard before and it took some time for their music to be received well. Look at SKZ now and NMIXX is paving their own way as the members as well as their music are being loved by more people every single day.

Wow. I'm going crazy over this NMIXX concept. They fit into any kind of concept and their looks are completely out of this world.

I may be looking into the lyrics a bit too much with this but I was thinking that there was some wordplay with the line "우린 we, we, we, we, 위로 위로 더" because "위로" kind of sounds like weirdo. I took the song to mean that even if you are a weirdo and don't fit expectations you can still be a star shining at the top so that line means that NMIXX will go higher and be #1 (the meaning of the korean) while also meaning we are weirdos [and that doesn't matter]. Perhaps I may be looking too deep into it but I'm very impressed if that was the song writers intentions.
