Great review of a real classics British sports car. At 19 years old (that was in 1966) bought my first sport car. That was a 1964 mk3 Austin Healey Sprite in British Racing Green. Great little car I wish I could trace it now to see if it's still around, unfortunately one of the owner sold its registration number so I can not find out what number was reissued to the Sprite! Hay Ho. Really enjoyed your review. All the best Bob (in the UK)
I miss my 2a, It was the 2nd worst of all the Sprites, and the Semi-elliptic spring was a magnet for a fatigue based rust point, but it was still great
I have a frog -58 old racing car vin/ ANL5L 1351 registered back to street legal but still with 1300cc , webers and straight cut gearbox, fast and fun but very noisy to drive.
Gorgeous little cars, would own one if I could, a perfect summer cruiser for long drives along the beach and in the country.

I have had one for 35 years. It’s cheap and lots of fun. M.
