Wonderful sharing
LOL been there. At the end when she finally takes the treat, but tosses it onto the ground! Sometimes doing that IS the treat!
I think owner Vanessa's heart is in the right place and she'll eventually succeed.
I wish this lady the very best of luck! It's scary making the big diet conversion at first and by yourself (I used all of the videos that I purchased on Birdtricks and the seasonal feeding system ). It has become my favorite thing right now. It was so satisfying to pull out the peanuts, millet "buds", corn and sunflower seeds, from my birds diet (I am fostering and she came on a pretty bad diet). Now, she won't even eat the dehydrated corn as a reward! She eats her chop and will eat your birdie bread and occasionally a pellet. Sleep was a game changer too! You will never regret following Birdtricks tried and true methods.
Diet changing is a nightmare, but I've successfully changed my budgie to better seed, vegetables and eggs, fruit is next 😊
The food to treat tips makes sense, even with other types of pets. If they see that food item as part of their diet, using it as a treat become ineffective during training. Great to see tips for training on UA-cam 🤗❤️👍🏾💯
Your channel is awesome!! Is amazing how much you guys know about birds!!
I would love watching you making your SFS in time lapse it would be so fun and looks delicious 😋
Yes diet is important, to the fact of training, and good health, my little budgie wasn't having it with millet, this was frustrating me until I came across your diet for birds video, saving Grace, I changed my birds seed diet straight away, he took to it like water to a ducks back, this in turn changed his mind about millet, obviously millet was in the feed I gave him before transisting him to a better seed diet, he's also treading vegetables and eggs, next up is fruit 😊
It seems many people drop money on these master classes and don’t do the prep work. Is there a guide for preparing for a master class? Something that says, “To get the most out of this class, sleep and diet must be addressed prior to the class. Here’s an outline of how to do it. Implementing these strategies as soon as possible, will help maximize your success at the master class.” This may already be being done, just wondering….
Yes. They ask ya beforehand, where you're currently at with your bird. What are your goals to work on there. And they ask about diet, sleep etc.. no one just walks in completely blind. Sometimes, people aren't the best to watch a video to intake info, but need real life visual aids to help them grasp the concepts
in their defense, I bought the budgie training guide in november and still haven't sat down to watch it. Sometimes life just gets in the way.
Yes. There is and they send it out in several emails. It’s also included if I remember correctly when you sign up for the class.
@@curiositykilledthecat5118man it happened to me with Family Friendly Formula 2, it has been two years and I have only managed watching the FFF1
I don't even have a bird and I already know what They are going to say. Diet, sleep, etc. These people don't even do basic research before getting a bird, must less scheduling a master class.
I spoke to an avian vet as soon as I got my first bird. I learned that 12 hours of sleep is minimum. Mine get 14 hours.
👍🏻
Gosh I wish I could afford an African Grey, they are supposed to be the most intelligent.
This bird is just showing that .... I already have trained my owner.
Beautifull ❤️
THis bird made me feel 100 times better with my three budgies not following a single command, lol. Got one to step up the other day. I left my room open and he got lost in there so after flying away from me and not grasping the wide open door he gave up, perched lower and stepped up. Just want this to not be a terror/desperation response as that is just going to be a negative association.
She was pretty brave for an African Grey.
Maybe you guys could make a diet workbook that has assignments and such to help guide people?
We have our Diet Conversion Course that leads you through diet conversion step by step. It is available for purchase for just $9 but is included for free with all of our food products including our cookbooks. birdtricksstore.com/collections/behaviors-and-training/products/diet-conversion-course
@@BirdTricks But does it have a section to fill out or a check list or an activity or planner to print? Some people do better when they have somewhere to input and plan.
This is the special education tutor coming out in me. I have just been seeing people asking about this in the comments a few times for something like this so I thought I would ask. I actually get excited about the idea of work pages for diet conversion. LOL
Ce serait vraiment super cool d'ouvrir une exportation en Europe pour vos produits et granulés....🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🍀 Il me semble qu'il n'y a pas d'équivalent chez nous
How do I get my parrot to switch from Harrison's to Top's pellets? I've only just switched from seeds to harrisons pellets! He loves Harrisons but won't eat Top's!
Mona would probably target train for Yogurt Dip treats
Ok so my bird bites me a lot but it’s not really reactive or aggressive. It’s more like he’s exploring and wanting to lick and nibble my hands but then he takes it too far and it hurts sometimes. Anyone have advice or experience with this?
At 5:03 it says your training stands are available but on your website they are marked sold out.
Please email info@birdtricks.com to be added to our website. They will be back in stock soon!
Hello I am pakistani
What about TOP's food?
I commend this woman for adopting this lovely bird and I wish them both continued success as the foundations are addressed 🥰🦜👍 Thank you for this very informative video!
I am Pat lover
There's sunflower seeds in Bird Tricks pellets too... Which I don't think is a bad thing, but it nullifies Dave's point at 4:18.
Omad-Luck-Удача😉
Anybody from europe here that can tell me what kind of palletts they use for small birds that equal the ones from BT? The best I can find are the ones from Harrison.
Hi, they recommend TOP’S pellet for europe. They come in different size mini, small and normal. I’m from italy I find them in the online shop Avonturia :)
Africa Grey is not a food lover. You could exchange as you wrote on your training for a no-food reward
These animals are not dogs, It seems people want that from them. They are are wild! And are not happy being in captivity!
That bird is not happy !
I feel sorry for these birds! People trying to make them something they are not suppose to be !
how to mate budgies ?
