Yes, Istanbul is a beautiful city, but Istanbul also has a lot of scammers and thieves .A lot of Turkish people look at tourists as walking money. watch what you are doing and prices carefully and only pay in Turkish lira ….if any store or restaurant ask you to pay in euros or American dollar you know right away that it is a scam …..And do not pay with a credit card. only cash and always place your wallet in your front pocket, not in your back pocket and if you have valuable cameras, lphone and iPad .guarded it carefully and do not advertise that you are a tourist with money from western country.
