Man hawk vs Wolf, nineclub, and mitchie with skateiq I don't think we've ever had so much in depth skate content and I definitely appreciate them all for their contributions
He is a great addiction to tony hawk's personality, they reflect off each other, I hope they enjoy doing this, because one day it's going to end, and that'll be depressing, and these will be rewatched, over and over. Great stories, just chilling, for now, its mid, later it ages like wine. I know these legends are going to be more and more respected. EDIT: I feel when I miss ones, I feel like I missed out, and could miss out on good live advice. These are our heroes, I suggest those that don't know, Periodic Table Videos, Sir Martyn Polikoff, is my hero, while everyone here just adds. Keep adding knowledge, what they do is more helpful than they think, if people had as much time as I had to watch videos, you'll see the bright side of the world, and unstoppable passion, this is similar to skaters, shortening things, making things as simple to explain, while working constantly on making things work. Chemistry nerds and Skater nerds have a similarity. Either you're more math, or more theory, or more organic, and biology memorization. Everyone learns, everyone loves learning, and everyone loves teaching. This is the bases of life. 26:20
Watch the Kirchart episode to see exactly why Jason doesn't believe he should be there. Heath is just ruthlessly exposing the dude so bad it's hilarious.
Thanks Felipe for sharing your story. It’s inspiring. You believed and went for it. Also, I appreciate your outlook on skate progression. Getting the fundamentals down first makes it much easier to adapt to more advanced tricks later on. Also my Ohana (family) is everything to me as yours are to you. I’ll never forget all the sacrifices they do for me. Your dad is the man!!!
I hope they keep making podcasts. It's fantastic to see all the different people Tony Hawk can bring to the show. I love that people are teaching others how to do tricks. I wish they had been available when I was younger.
I love the hour I get to spend with you dudes every Monday. This one was great, Felipe is awesome. One of my favorite things about this podcast is how you have guests that are on the periphery of skateboarding, not just the great skaters. Let's face it good or not we can't all go pro no matter how much we love and are dedicated to it. I am a landscape/construction dude from Knoxville TN. I have been skating for 40 years, with the obvious hiatus for injury and adult stuff. The scene here has always been good, but I think it is great now. We support the old dudes who made us, the young dudes that will be us, and DIY spots better now than ever because we do construction for a living, have gear, get them involved in the process and teach them that one day may have to do more than rip to keep skating. I think this podcast helps build that ethos. So, thank you. I would love to see you interview some construction skaters from the skate park project,. Skaters who do crazy work just to get the skills to build the dream. Please keep it going for as long as you can. I thank you guys for all you've done for myself and so many others, thanks for reading this and for your consideration.......Sincerely, The Workn' Thrash.
@@thatJoshieJoshthanks brother, I love skateboarding and I love the DIY ethos. But I would definitely love to hear the professional construction skater dudes talk to what I consider to be the best skater podcast dudes and swap stories. Keep thrashing my friend. Sincerely ...the Workn' Thrash
Another really interesting guest, thanks all. I must say Felipe’s English fluency now is so impressive given he wasn’t raised with it or taught it. Puts my language skills to absolute shame.
Meeting Felipe at the Olympics qualifier/Dew Tour here in Des Moines was an incredible experience. I had the opportunity to see him and a few other pros interact behind the scenes and they’re the best of friends while being incredible competitors. Hearing these guys all talk about skating alone made me reminisce on my early days. I’d push a few blocks from my house to the middle school and skate flat ground and eventually benches for hours.
I am so thankful to skateboarding and everyone involved…. I’m 50, was part of the burnside project in Portland , Oregon since I was 13. It it so amazing to be truly a part of something bigger than myself. Bigger than any movement created. Thanks guys for all your time helping keep my memories and daily life worth living. Cheers…
I know you guys already tried Patreon but now there is more or a following and it can work. I never really got into skateboarding and listen to all the history and new riders is sumer inspiring
Another amazing episode - Thankful for the time I have gotten to spend with you two, your wide ranging guests and all this talk about our useless wooden toys. What a positive dude he is. Skateboard we Do!
Why everybody telling the lads to get a Patreon? It's a value add tool to get people to pay for someone to keep doing what they are doing. It's crowdfunding. Tony and Jason do not need crowdfunding. It may act as another revenue stream, but that's what official sponsors are for. Let the homies do the thing without over-commercialising it. This interview is one of my faves so far, along with Andy Anderson. Big love from Sydney. Keep it rolling!
que gran historia bro. me da mucha fuerza para seguir adelante en mi skate bro cheers! this history is rad. i grow up in mexico city watching this videos of him. legend!
Just was watching a different podcast and a dude was on this show named Dave Stark. He was a semi-pro skater in California in the heyday, when he was young, and was a state champion under 14, went to the skate ranch with Tony etc etc But then he went on to be an A-10 pilot. Dude is super cool, I think he’d be an awesome guest who’d bring in a different audience segment, and he’s a skater and would probably die to hang with Tony Hawk again.
Awesome episode! Such a nice genuine guy! Hope Colin is next week since he was there, last one with him was really good... I watched it again recently but been a while need a update.😂 Love that you're getting on current comp street skaters. Yuto next since his English is way better now?
I started worrying about the podcast, because it started getting aired later in the morning here in Europe. Is it because of daylight savings time, or is it just later? I usually put you guys on for my Monday morning commute. My main motivation to get out of bed 😅
Of course it's too good to keep going. This podcast is really good medicine as some people say and I don't know where to get this kind of energy elsewhere. Sucks.
I remember in the 90s and 2000s I use to carry my sponsor me video with me in my backpack. I got sponsored from a company in Montana because I had my video on me. They called me back a week later.
Im going to comment randomly, but Jason Ellis on Spike TV was the first time I saw him, I forgot about him,, and now I see him here, chillin, blows my mind. Jason is actually seasoned comedian jumping around, skating, mad respect, and made my girlfriend and I laugh. So randomly i'll quote to my girlfriend "I GOT 5!" with no context. We both laugh, whoever is around us, questions us Lmao. Thats a quote i love 41:15 HAHAHAHAHHA
Please soon do a segment on you and your guests board setups. It’d be interesting to kind of gauge from their type of skating, and their physical size. Does Tony skate the same 8.5” birdhouse board that I can buy at my local, or does he get custom presses with different concave/wheelbase/tail length/nose length?
All love for Felipe Gustavo but let’s learn something new outside that you love biggie your dad sold his car & you’re the little young chap from Brazil. I want to learn more about your culture & what makes you human.
Dear tony and jason, speaking of blunt fakie... can I see blunt, airways to fakie?!?!? Saw a little guy doing them on the mini figured some of yall could make it look dope!!! He said the grab makes it easy😂
An invert is a fully inverted, straight up and down, handplant. A basic handplant is sort of a low backside air with your hand planted. Inverts are fully standing on your hand, and where all the variations happen. Hope that helps.
Just watched re watched I: true I: and I remember when it came out and was wondering why he skates past 3/4 of the ledge and only tricks the last foot or even less than that. It was still called a grind but he never sat on any of his grinds. I remember that back then and looking at it last week I cannot believe how much hype came out around his part. The Skateboarding industry makes no sense to me. I would have rather seen B roll of D-way on his Hawaiian compound than him. I am happy he has gotten better over the years but I think it took someone like Jamie Foy to get the spotlight for sitting on a grind to get that type of skating back on trend.
Have you tried unsubscribing then resubscribing? Assuming app is up to date etc. Just set an alarm for every Monday at whatever time it normally comes out, here in Scotland it's 2pm so I know it's waiting on me when I get home from work 😂

They had a show on satellite radio together over ten years ago. It’s nothing new to him.
