+yukinak77 The Cockpit was, as it was in the Kit, kinda simple. So i checked the Internet for Details and ...well... try to make it lookauthentic

+Lee78072 Nerve wrecking ...^^; I haven't made models for a long time, but I agree that it's irritating when parts don't fit right. Putty works take time!

Thanks for showing your building the kit and final product....great job. What's strange is that I still have ALL the Hasegawa/Revell 1/32nd scale kits (but no ME-163 as that was built in '74) that I started buying back in '74 and are STILL unbuilt. But this is the first time I've seen this kit actually built and makes me wonder how many thousands, if not hundred of thousands of these and other kits are sitting in someones closet waiting to be built.

Hey thanks for your comment. Yeah...there must be so much of them. Like they got bought, and forgot. 74? Woaaa. some of them must be worth alot of Money. You know, when they are so rare, the Prices go thru the roof.

Nov. 26, 2018---Don't know about the rarity of most of my kits, but I do have 2 or 3 of the Revel Jap fighters that were produced by Revell of Japan. They were on a freighter with the molds then going to produce kits here in the U.S., but the ship sank. The ONLY kits you could get of a Jack, Shiden and one other airplane was Revell's and more than once thought of selling them on Ebay as they were going for around $400+ at one time. But bought mine to build. Also, check out Tomy's Jap fighter, though can't remember the name of it. I did get lucky in buying a couple of the old Monogram 1/48th scale T-28A Trojan kits really cheap...then for some reason, the prices jumped. Went thru ALL my kits a few years ago, writing down what I had by what was in the storage box, scale of the kit, manufacturer, etc. Last time I went thru my list, had some where just over 1,500 kits and around 400 or so decal sheets. A lot bought while in the Air Force for 10 years, then Squadron would have their mailers (pre-internet days), now it's Ebay and great buys at local model club meetings. Like getting Trumpeters parade ground truck (1/35th scale) for $5?! Using that for a zombie/ apocalypse diorama I'm working on. Can use it for in the U.S. as steering wheel is on the left side. Squadron had a sale on Revell's 1/72 P-47 bubble top for $5 each along with some other kits a few years ago...bought 5 of each because I have more than enough decals to build 'em all.

Can anyone tell me why WW2 planes , Japanese and English -have the yellow painted leading edges ?? Is it to aid ground crew or what ??
