If i remember correctly i believe its 5% cashback now and i think it's for everything. But I'll have to confirm
I live on Vancouver Island and there are a decent amount of places here now for cashback. Mostly gas, which we're obviously spending a mint now. I use KOHO too.

I just got Neo. They were advertising it in markham Ontario in the mall. The person who set it up for me was pretty pushy. But I got 50 dollars to start for free and if I refer people I get 60 dollars
Yeah they’re very pushy to get people to signup… hiring any young business grads to sell. Luckily I actually think they’re doing some good things. Except now they’re getting into investing but I haven’t seen anything good on the investing side

Hi Mark Would you recommend Neo for trying to rebuild your credit card score?
no it doesn't report back to either transunion or Equifax.
The Neo partners were great when I signed up. Stores like Costco and Amazon were on there. Then, they were gone! It appears they come and go. All that appeared to be left were rinky dink businesses that you might visit once in a while, if at all. The partners are very hit and miss, and unless Neo manages to get the larger businesses as partners it is essentially useless for rewards. The high interest savings account is good.

it is a good idea to open a credit account only with NEO . and close my accounts in TD. ore NEO is still not a full-fledged bank ?????
The only thing that neo is missing is mobile check deposit. Also the whole cash withdrawal & deposit thing. I keep a free minimal TD account just for those odd transactions
Hi, could you go back to neo from the perspective of someone who doesn't have 500$ for a hometrust secure credit card in order to build credit after a bankruptcy or other insolvency like consumer proposal? Neo was the only no fee secure credit card I could find where as little as 50$ was needed. Seems way more affordable than hometrust but I want to know if it will rebuild credit in same way. Thank you

@@5CapriCe5 I just signed with neo and they gave me a visa debit which will improve my credit, only difference with this one compared to a credit card is I put $150 on my card initially which gave me a $150 credit limit any purchase I make I will have to pay again but it does build credit and in a few month of good payments ill be able to get the full credit card
Are you compromising your credit score each time you apply for a card/service to review it?
Not necessarily… I’m planning to apply for other credit cards this year and it doesn’t look great when you’re applying for multiple credit in a short amount of time

They have partnerships in toronto. Mainly dollarama. So I think they are growing

The regular card does not help build your credit. And there is no credit check for the card or the credit building feature!

As a 16 year old, can I use the credit card option to start to build my credit score or would I have to stick to the chequing/savings accounts?!
I’m not sure to be honest! I believe you can since at 16 you’re legally allowed to work in Canada. Give it a shot and please let me know if you can!
