Google is a multi-billion dollar corp. They do well and all. But to buy their phone you're buying the "name" as with Apple iPhone. So here in America we do not have but three main phone manufacturers to choose from. Apple, Samsung and Google. There are crappy brands like Motorola, LG, and a few others. My point is, is that in the states we either have to buy very expensive and get good or buy cheap and get junk. There really isn't an in between. But now that we have the option of OnePlus we do. I will support OnePlus for as long as they are around. My N30 does not cease to amaze me on what it is capable of. I don't know what people are talking with the camera it works great for me. Color may be a little washed at times but who cares it still takes great pictures for being a $300 phone. And it's performance at anything I throw at the phone itself is just WOW. As I stated before, I do miss an OLED display but I can live without it so long as performance is 100%

I’ve got a pixel 7 pro but I can see how somebody might take the N30 over the 6a . To start with here in the states, if you order the N 30 off 1+ website you will get buds 2 worth about $59 for free. the LCD screen on the one plus looks better. at least in this video. I happen to like ColorOS, I think pixels OS is really boring. I would just be concerned with the speed of the OnePlus. I have the pixel 6A and I think the screen is just trash. its a very very cheap oled screen and you don't get DEEP BLACKs more of a brown/gray tone how ever, the speed of the 6a is very good and the camera is grate. Would love to feel the haptics on the OnePlus as that's a huge thing for me.. thanks for the video.
Just got a pixel 6 (not 6a), and the battery was dying extremely fast, lucky to last 1 day. My nord n200 I'm replacing lasted 2-3 days easy. So I've ordered a N30 for the same price as the pixel 6... Hope it's batter is much better.
Im using a pixel and have a OnePlus N200 i prefer the pixel for everyday use. The N30 vs the 6a though is a different picture. There are ways around the camera. Gcan will be available for the N30 at some point and with the expandable storage, headphone jack and fast charging i like the N30 even over the 7a that has wireless charging. Its the faster charging and the expandable storage with the headphone jack. Software 1 year is lame but its $300 it can last 2 years for that price why not get the extra hardware features.
I had 3 pixel 6a's all 3 had signal problems idk if it was just a verizon issue but it was the worse pixel i ever had. Idk if its cause of the tensor chip but i kept getting random lags and the battery is the wooorst. I literally bought off my contract just to get another phone and chose the s23 ultra. Best decision ever
Bought the first pixel and it bricked after a google update. Bought a 4a earlier this year, screen broke, bought a pixel 5 last month, used it for 2 weeks updated it to android 13 and bricked randomly just like the first one.
Y'all need to wake up the N30 comes out on top. Better refresh rate, waaaay better battery life, camera is decent (don't complain about camera when you can download gcam 9.1 apk) Bigger screen, better cell and wifi reception. I mean I have over 26k worth of phones and mainly flagships because I build test design and love technology specially phones and PCs so take it from me. I refuse to lie....N30 is where it's at at this price range not the 6a. The pixel 6a is good also I've been with pixel since nexus. Pixel 6a battery life is unbelievable bad and the bugs are still insane to a certain point. I love pixel it's Samsung, pixel, oneplus(when they hit it right) then iPhone for me but damn pixel fell since the 5a...7a is a good turn tho 2hrs charging with fast dying battery vs 1hr with 2 day better of light use and 7 to 10hrs of heavy use yeah think guys.
Thank you for an excellent and through review! I'm upgrading from an OnePlus Nord N10 5G, and I am so tired of having a crappy camera, I deserve better LOL. You've cinched my decision . Have a fantastic day, and thanks again!
True, the price definitely changes the equation. Still, this is a comparison of apples to oranges. After all, the Nord is a budget class device. Conversely, the Google pixel 6 a is a mid-range class device. There are pros and cons to each device but, it boils down to what a consumer is prepared to live with. From my standpoint, I could never live with the tensor chipset.
The thing I like about the N30 is the big screen and big battery. But I can't stand poor quality pictures. So might have to get a pixel so either the 7 or 8 but I try to not spend more than $500 on a phone since I don't have insurance on my phones.
I live in AZ and anytime it's over 110 the Pixel says overheating and powers OFF. . So guess what I went to T mobile today and the old lady in front of me ALSO had a Pixel 😟 her Pixel OVERHEATS!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 we were at T-Mobile for same thing back to back. If you live in a southern state don't get a Pixel
I live in AZ s as well. I have an iPhone 📱 and I get the same overheating message. I believe it’s more to do with where we live rather than the phone but that’s just my opinion.
I have the google pixel 6a , and i wouldn't choose anything else. I cannot stand massive phones. I have small hands, but regardless of that i dont like big phones in my bag. In my opinion the pixel 6a is the perfect size. 18w charging is still fast. People have become used to even faster charging, and it's made them impatient.
When watching these reviews its not actually a review or comparison anymore because the said reviewer has their favorite in mind and focuses on the particular device. There are apps to make cameras a tad bit better now days. The N30 actually gets 2 years of major updates and 3 years of security patches by the way. It says that on their website. It all boils down to what the consumer is wanting and/or needing from the devices in question. So these reviewers need to quit basically making videos that say they are comparing the two devices because all they do is hype one up over the other and basically talk crap about one over the other. Yes its a comparison 'but'if youre going to talking about a product do your homework about the device and not half ass your video. Because in this video you were quite wrong about the N30 on multiple areas. 2 year major updates, 3 years of security patches. My other One Plus devices actually got more updates than originally announced. But its not up to me or these reviwers to determine what phone people get, these videos need to point out where both phones shine, where both struggle, be honest on update info, and anything else about the devices. Personally I've had a couple of Google Pixel phones and they were junk. Especially compared to Samsung s series phones, and Apple iphones.
...also 120Hz, Snapdragon rather than Exynos knock-off, SD card, headphone jack...the Nord is the better phone for bang for buck. That is uncontestable.
... Unless you'd literally rather get a flip phone than buy a google phone. Also, why do people want their phone manufacturer to change things? As in why is it a selling point that I get an android upgrade or three? I'm all for security upgrades, but once I've learned how to do what I want to do, I don't want to learn a new way to do it because my phone manufacturer arbitrarily decided another version was better. Can anyone make this make sense to me?
I quit the moment you said IPS LCD , it's 2023 all phones are supposed to have OLED nowadays, come-on the cheap Redmi phones do have OLED to less money !
hey hey watch the whole video don't you dare hurt my watch time! I'm kidding I dont blame you for that price OLEd should be on there if the competition is doing it
Nothing wrong with LCD, especially for that 20% that suffer at the hand of PWM. You also get 120Hz which most creators whine about as life-changing and the most important thing to happen in smartphone land. So Pixel 6a should be a no-go (I don't see it this way, but comments and YT expert reviewers claim otherwise).
Gotta love oled burn-in. Oled is not worth it. On mobile screens or TV panels. Have had it occur on both formats without much use. High end oled phone high end LG oled screens.
I don't think anyone with decent technical knowledge would ever think SD695, which was released 1.5 years ago as a lower midrange, can compete with Google Tensor, which was released as a flagship, even if it wasn't on the same level with other flagships of the year. Realistically, if you have access to Google Pixel 6A with the official price, it's a no brainer. Sadly its availability is damn limited, and importing it privately may result in around 33% price increase due to taxes and customs.
@@Ditronus. If you care more about multitasking than performance, sure. But most will be fine with just 6. You only need enough RAM, as more will only be a waste, but there will never be enough performance, so the faster the better.

I don't really care about the differences. I like the bigger screen and I'm getting my N30 for just $62. Using the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 now, it's messed up, so I'm grabbing the N30 paying very little to compensate the crappy phone I'm using now. Great review, but I'll enjoy my Fart N30 😂😎✌🏽

Ugh so annoying. I don't actually want the Pixel for the camera, I want it because it's well supported for custom ROM's and the tensor processor. But the battery life, headphone jack and expandable storage on the Nord make me want it over the Pixel. My old phone suddenly started suffering from battery bulge and I'm really not liking the moto g play I got as a replacement. Decided to look at something a little better specced and if they hadn't removed the headphone jack from the 6a I could deal with the lack of SD slot but not having both is a bummer. Guess I'll have to think about this a bit more before I make my decision.
I got the pixel 6a when it 1st came out, it was a hot phone. Tried holding on to it through the updates to see if it would stop heating up but it never stopped finally back in March switched to a moto g stylus (2022) and havent looked back. Never again will I purchase a Google phone
I feel like the Nord is not worth the price and comparison. It feels like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro with a better processor. I think it's on par with the galaxy A32 with a slightly worse screen. If it wasn't for MIUI I'd recommend the Redmi Note 12 Pro even if it is a rebrand it's much better than this.

@@mth469 Thats why I have multiple ssds. I prefer physical storage over cloud storage. Cloud storage is too slow for streaming 4k since it's loading and buffering. I prefer to watch 4k from my micro sd card since it's faster than cloud storage.
at 4:02 the phones are swapped. the smaller phone is labeled as the nord. when the opposite is true.
the LCD screen on the one plus looks better. at least in this video.
3:52 are the tags correct ?
Software 1 year is lame but its $300 it can last 2 years for that price why not get the extra hardware features.
dont forget the custom mods community for smartphones. you can install new android OS in your OPN with the phone having superior hardware specs.
I commented elsewhere that I've had problems with both the 4a and 5a so I'm ready to abandon ship on google phones.
I have T-Mobile and just switched to the n30 for the same reason I love the phone but not getting my calls is a very big deal
Bought the first pixel and it bricked after a google update. Bought a 4a earlier this year, screen broke, bought a pixel 5 last month, used it for 2 weeks updated it to android 13 and bricked randomly just like the first one.
Y'all need to wake up the N30 comes out on top. Better refresh rate, waaaay better battery life, camera is decent (don't complain about camera when you can download gcam 9.1 apk)
Bigger screen, better cell and wifi reception.
I love pixel it's Samsung, pixel, oneplus(when they hit it right) then iPhone for me but damn pixel fell since the 5a...7a is a good turn tho
2hrs charging with fast dying battery vs 1hr with 2 day better of light use and 7 to 10hrs of heavy use yeah think guys.
So, that's how an Asus Zenfone 9 look if we make it bigger with plastic back.
Pixels in the UK are dirt cheap. In fact, the 6a is selling like hot cakes here.
Thank you for an excellent and through review! I'm upgrading from an OnePlus Nord N10 5G, and I am so tired of having a crappy camera, I deserve better LOL. You've cinched my decision . Have a fantastic day, and thanks again!
The one plus is only $150 right now on Best Buy it’s a steal
True, the price definitely changes the equation. Still, this is a comparison of apples to oranges. After all, the Nord is a budget class device. Conversely, the Google pixel 6 a is a mid-range class device. There are pros and cons to each device but, it boils down to what a consumer is prepared to live with. From my standpoint, I could never live with the tensor chipset.
he forgot to mention one gives you a charging brick the other doesn't
Nice job. No comparison between the two.
thanks Jeff!
Depends what you need. I don't care about cameras as much but battery life so yeah, no comparison. N30 it is.
I don't care about cameras battery life/charging and expandable storage are tops to me and having a headphone jack is a bonus
The pixel, great specs and price.
Agreed its too good for the price!
but 60hz
The thing I like about the N30 is the big screen and big battery. But I can't stand poor quality pictures. So might have to get a pixel so either the 7 or 8 but I try to not spend more than $500 on a phone since I don't have insurance on my phones.
The pixel 6a looks way bigger than the nord n30 at 4:03 mark....and the nord is way bigger....weird
You have beeper! I saw that app! :) I got waitlisted recently and am looking forward to trying it out.
It’s a great app ! Hopefully you get on it soon
Battery is why i will never get a pixel again...
It's been fixed
Very informative. Pixel user here all the way!
This phone never overheats and battery lasts forever. Hello?
Excellent review. Thank you, friend
No brainer for me , speakers, 50watt charging, more ram, bigger battery etc.
...also 120Hz, Snapdragon rather than Exynos knock-off, SD card, headphone jack...the Nord is the better phone for bang for buck. That is uncontestable.
For sure. And the price for all that. Easy win!
Awesome video. 👍🏽
Thank you best comparison video out on this topic... 🎉 Was thinking nord 30 after video going with the Pixel thanks for the comparison 👍
Pixel 6A has OLED PWM flicker. N30 has no flicker.
So N30 wins!
is the oneplus tphone even available in the us
Yup!
Does Nord30 has alert slider???
I usually just watch movies n stuff n play some games wich is better?
Iphone SE
Gotta love oled burn-in. Oled is not worth it. On mobile screens or TV panels. Have had it occur on both formats without much use. High end oled phone high end LG oled screens.
Amoled lightsabers and burns are popular nowadays. Ips is not that bad and it's durable.
Pixel has a 4400 battery not 4100
Should I buy realme gt 2 or realme gt Neo 3t or pixel 6a i only play genshin impact
Just the regular Google Tensor in the Pixel 6A not the second one. But ya its still a bit faster nonetheless!
@@MatthewMoniz ah, yes, corrected.
But 6 gigs of ram compared to 8 on the nord30
@@Ditronus. If you care more about multitasking than performance, sure. But most will be fine with just 6. You only need enough RAM, as more will only be a waste, but there will never be enough performance, so the faster the better.
@@leledumbo gotcha. Wish I got a pixel 7 when it was down to $450. My daughter needs a phone upgrade, but it feels bad paying $350 for a pixel 6a (current 3rd party price on amazon) when $100 more would've gotten me a newer, higher end device in a pixel 7.
I don't really care about the differences. I like the bigger screen and I'm getting my N30 for just $62.
Using the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 now, it's messed up, so I'm grabbing the N30 paying very little to compensate the crappy phone I'm using now. Great review, but I'll enjoy my Fart N30 😂😎✌🏽
dont even consider about buying ips lcd over oled
120 hz vs 60 hz
50w charging vs 18w
Give me the N30
The N30 seems like a rebranded Vivo/Oppo/Realme device. And Where is the alert slider? - You cant call it a Oneplus phone if it is missing the alert slider! Major No for me!
Cameras might be important for some, but not for me
WTF is up with this phone? What good is the print reader if the phone is going to force you to enter your pin every 6 wakes or so? I've been a huge fan of oneplus since 2016, but this pin sht is ridiculous
The only reason I would prefer the pixel is the pixel experience.
I have a 6a and it's okay but the battery isn't great
No headphone jack, that's a dealbreaker for me. Bluetooth sucks entirely.
Nah

Matt..... You are a PRO PIXEL consumer 😂.
There's nothing to compare the Cheap chinese phone manufacture like OP with the premium segment manufacturer like Google.😅
Although I'm a Pixel user also I find your videos more positive towards Pixel phones. It's like you don't want to let the google loose the battle. Don't do that matt...

haha best way I could desribe it
Bruh, 4 mins, you got the phones reversed.
Looks like zenfone 9
Ya it kind of does but a lot larger
OnePlus N30 definitely wins in terms of Battery life and charging speed, as well as 1TB SD card expansion . N30 camera is great too
I got the pixel 6a when it 1st came out, it was a hot phone. Tried holding on to it through the updates to see if it would stop heating up but it never stopped finally back in March switched to a moto g stylus (2022) and havent looked back. Never again will I purchase a Google phone
I'm not in usa or canada but I will still sacrifice to get the pixel 6a 😊
I feel like the Nord is not worth the price and comparison.
Maybe where you are but in North America Xiaomi doesn't exist so its either OnePlus, Google, Samsung or Apple.
@@MatthewMoniz ......and Motorola ! I have a Pixel 6a which I bought off Amazon last December for $299. The one thing I highly dislike about it is the warmth of the screen when using the phone for an extended period of time, becoming somewhat uncomfortable for my fingertips.
Despite the fact that most Motorola phones are lower end phones in comparison to Google phones, being a Motorola fan for years I've never had any issues with phone screen heating up, and should you try charging and using the Pixel 6a at the same time, forget that, let it rest because the hot screen becomes even worse. I did some research and saw that a number of Pixel 6a owners had the same hot screen issue.
I would love to see a detailed comparison as this video comparing the Pixel 6a with the Moto Edge 30 Fusion (US version)...thank you.
