Good call. But u just have to make it. Ur range looks like air or trips/strong top pair after check raise. Why ooponent would bet small if he would never bet mid pair for value against that range, so its pretty much cheap bluff everytime. If we had trips he would go allin most likely.

Thomas Powell it’s not weird, high stakes tournaments have a lot of variance and u can lose a lot when you run bad. But he is playing good brm so it doesn’t matter.

@@marcelmattern7722 It's pretty dangerous to say stuff like "this is never a bluff" or "this is never a worse flush" in poker, never doesn't exist in reality, there's always a random factor that makes people overplay a worse flush a certain % of the time and good players will also find bluffs in every single spot, also the ones where you don't expect them to. That said the spot is still very close and I think Matt called a little to quickly here and should have given it some more thought. We don't have a lot of better hands on this board to call with (99 only?) so the nutflush is top of our range, but is it really the top of our range when betting 3/4 on the river? I think a fold can be found. I kind of hate the call pre OOP with A6s the most in this whole hand.

But on this board Mat says he has a flush or a fullhouse, so i think the opponent called turn and has to decide if he jams or call the river. Which hand the opponent decide to bluff his hand after calling a potsize bet on the turn? normally JX could bluff, but the most player dont have this balls. I played over 25k tournaments and won nearly 300k in tournament poker. A halfpot bet would be much better on the river. A check would be in my opinion the worst decision, because 90% of his hands will check back.

@@Mahatheyew definitely knew it was a possibility but felt like any lower flush would jam also and BB can have a lot of those. not to mention the BB will be raising some of his FH combos earlier in the hand imo so just felt like it was still a call. Could be a losing play though.
Also, do you ever wonder if your twitch speech river jams for value are timing tells? You didn't get many calls. Haven't seen enough river bluffs to see if you're doing it, but a lot of players bluff quickly and take time to bet for value.
