“ If I speak, I affect one person; If I shoot, and the world sees, I affect everyone.” ~ Boniface Mwangi, July 2021.
This demystifies a lot for me. How you see photos captured in some situations and you are tempted to vilify the photographer because “why couldn’t they assist instead of prioritizing a photo op”. Wow! I had never thought to look at it this way

yeah, you rem that one mzungu who took a photo of a starving child and the guy won an award for the photo but people came down on the guy and I think he committed suicide. it was too much for him, not an easy job

@@MrCAHRLIE22 Are you serious??? He killed himself? 😞
I just dug up the story and yes. He did indeed commit suicide at the end.

This is 🔥🔥🔥 Bonny's value system and adherence to integrity is unquestionable. Love to see. Also the way he unleashed "Dad" on Nate for fidgeting in the previous video speaks to his parenting style 😊 Love it! The fact that he talks openly about subjects that parents avoid, in the presence of his son, tells me that these topics are openly discussed at home 👏👏 For someone who had no Father figure to mentor him, Bonny is a role model. 🔥💯

One of the most important public opinion moments in the Civil rights movement was a newspaper article that captures the police using dogs on black children who were demonstrating in the streets. What was transmitted all over the world in particular was a photograph of a teenager boy with his hands at his side confronting a police dog snarling almost in his face. The photographer could have helped the boy...and the legislation would have been delayed even longer... He took the picture, and affected the whole world.
