Fuck this is kinda long sry, plus I'm sure you know this shit, it's just funny
I love listening to the Eminem deniers, there's full compilations of anyone's top 10 rappers all giving Em flowers or saying they wouldn't challenge him. You can look at the all those "top __ greatest rappers of all time" and the only ones who don't give props to Em are Pac and Biggie because they both died before he made it. (And anyone else who died before he was signed, but they usually get overlooked, unless its Eminem who's probably shouted them all out in at least one song, Bully's got a lot of them "To pickin' up where we left off with Big and Pac, We just lost Jam Master J, Big L got blasted away, Plus we lost Bugz, Slang Ton, and Freaky Tah)
But you know what, Em produced a full Pac posthumous album (Loyal to the Game), Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur sent Em a letter with thanking him for doing it without asking for anything in return, gave him Pac's rhyme sheet and one of his plaques (see the letters they shared and also his verse on Fat Joe's song Lord Above).
Then he featured on two posthumous Biggie albums (Dead Wrong-Born Again, It has been said-Duets).
He does a feature with Jay, Nas says Jay gets murdered (In one of the best diss tracks of all time).
Wayne and Em have always spoke highly of each other with Wayne being familiar enough with Em's albums that he remembered one of Em's characters Ken Kaniff that Em forgot about (See Eminem on Young Money Radio at like and hour 15 in).
Kendricks said Eminem is an inspiration multiple times.
Drake brought Em out on stage calling him "The greatest rapper to even get on the mother fucking microphone" and bows to him (mind you this is in Detroit so he may feel the need to say that but still to say it at all, especially after Em just rapped his forever verse).
Cole isn't on the Billboard top 10 for 2023 but he still credits Em as an inspiration (talking about who's lyrics he had on his wall) "It was a select group of top notch people that I worship... and Eminem was literally at the top of that list"
Snoop's had his butting of heads with Em, but as of now they seem all good and he's got that "He still is who he is, don't get it fucked up" quote.
and Nicki has said that she loves Em, gave him props on this most recent album too.
For anyone to say Eminem doesn't belong or isn't actually good would be to discredit all these rappers and the countless others that support him, honestly, what're they saying that anyone who's done a feat with him is a sellout just hoping to get some money from them collabing with the white guy. Unless your favorite rappers haven't released anything since '99, there's no way you can say that Em is not an influence in some way, maybe it wasn't direct but odds are he influenced the people who influenced them.
