    Great video fellas. Just a question in regards to the mounting of both the rooftop tent and awning... By the looks, the roof top tent is attached to the two cross bar roof racks on the canopy? Therefore, the awning is mounted to the side of the roof top tent? Cheers

    • @davidlander1456
      @davidlander1456 2 роки тому

      Hey mate - the awning comes off the side of the tent - alucan has the brackets but with the swing awn you need to do a little bit of modifying

      If you look at the rip off prices for cans they sell, you can just clean your throttle body for that. Should be noted many diesels have 400k km and never needed a clean. All the catch can places have a stock photo of a pipe full of carbon, seems to be the same photo on every one, not one shows a high km engine with a catch can fitted and what it looks like inside. Wonder why...

    • @davidlander5460

      Hey Anthony - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The Bladder is made by FlexiMake fmestore.com.au/product/hanging-type-water-bladder-110l-dw110h/ - I basically removed the back seat and from memory made un some anchoring points and fitted it in. I needed to protect the bladder from a few rubbing points and did that with some rubber backed carpet squares cut to size reinstalled the seat and that was that. The advertised size is 110 ltrs but I find I can fit 80 odd, because of the space that's available behind the seat. I have to say its a handy thing to have when your are out and bouts. Hope that helps - Dave

    • @davidlander5460
      @davidlander5460 3 роки тому +1

      Hey Antonio - sorry for the slack reply time, to tell you the truth I have not as yet weighed it when fully loaded. I have a GVM up grade and its needed as she is no light weight as you would expect. In saying that GVM is 3465 kg and the last time I went over the tip weigh bridge I had full fuel (150ltrs) and a heap of gear, tools, draws full (as they are always) fridge ......... 3400, so throwing another person and their gear in we would pop over that. However with upgrade brakes and the sweet suspension the rig handles exceptionally well, no race car but extremely predictable and comfortable. Its always a struggle to stay within all the parameters as there are so many variable. I am mindful of how and what I pack, but I try to get it as lite as I can. thanks Dave
