the closest to a pickaxe type weapon in DQ is the anchor in ghastly harbor, but I agree more weapons like that would be cool, I think dual daggers or something would be rly cool for warriors as a legendary or mythic weapon (or even a brand new ranger class, but that takes a lot of time and effort to do). They could have a speed buff or a double strike ability which is passive (happens every 4 hits). There could be other mythic weapons which also have passive buffs based on the type of weapon
