I need a power circular saw but my workspace is very limited that a table saw cannot fit. So Makita HS301D is one good option. It is not pricy. It is small, comfortable, precise, and not very noisy.
Additionally, I can carry it to the local hardware store to cut a big piece of timber or panel into smaller ones in order to fit into my car effortlessly.

if you roll the tape really hard so it sticks well, precut a little and then full. It will give you the best results

Safer to take the battery out when adjusting the saw
Nice setup. We like to do some woodwork, but don't do it often. There are so many things in life waiting for us to do. We do small projects only and do not need a table saw anyway.

I also have this one for small and easy cut. For large cut I use Makita SP 6000.

I bought th I s for cutting I ng red ceader shakes because the old 9 volt "pizza cutters" worked so well. I was disappointed with this saw. I believe it I only turns out 1500 rpm. Something to consider. My 18 volt Milwaukie saw saw is 3000 rpm. Corded saw saw I have is 3500rpm. Noticeable difference in performance. Just my experience. I'm finding that I need to pay more attention those numbers when shopping for tools.
I also do some woodworking in my apartment. What vacuum cleaner do you use?

What dust nozzle attachment did you use ? Can’t seem to have any information from manufacturer
Look up the saw on Amazon. A person wrote a review. He had to order from Canadaian Makita. (The attachment isn't available in U.S. )And it needed a M4 Phillips head screw. Hope this helps.
The dust nozzle is too small for my vacuum cleaner, so I 3D printed one adapter to the nozzle.

This is the CXT line 10,8v rounded up to 12v. So Yes
Anyone know if they make an 18v battery model in this.
I don't think you're supposed to use 18v batteries on a 12v tool. The better option is to get the 4.0 ah version of the 12v. Longer lasting and a bit more power.

Can you buy spare blades easy enough
Not really. I sell Makita in Croatia and they are never availiable. Very hard to find

Musak was too loud. We don't need a piano sonata. Would like to see how easy it is to change the blade. Good info with the deeper cuts reducing tear-out.
